Then who is Miami adding to complete this deal? They are short 11 million dollars from being able to complete?
Wow. So how does that impact Miami? I'm thinking it can't be good, or they wouldn't have wanted to get rid of Dragic anyway. Goran's a good player if he's healthy. Emphasis on "if he's healthy."
Not getting Butler is a blessing in disguise. Committing Max money to a high milage, injury prone, selfish dude would not have been a good mix for this team. The power balance in the NBA is finally equal for the most part and the Rockets championship window just creaked open a little bit more. The Rockets can def run is back and have a legitimate shot to winning it all next year. Im so happy the Rockets didnt trade Gordon (our xfactor) and Clint and gut this team for Butler. It is going to be a blessing in disguise and you guys will know it soon. The Rockets still in the market to made trades and also signing players using their BAE and MLE.
Do you mind telling me who they included. As is, Olynyk/Jones/Richardson cannot be the trade legally.
I'm not even sure they'll be that good, as today i'd say Bucks, Sixers, Celtics and Pacers will be better, if Kawhi stays in Toronto that's another team ahead of them, and who knows about Brooklyn, i think Irving alone won't be enough but the rest of the team should be much better than what Miami will have left. Butler had a huge impact on the Wolves though, as much as i hate to say this now...so, who knows.
Butlers max is 32.7 million. SNT invokes the hardcap. The heat are already over the hardcap. They need to get under at the end of the Butler trade to legally complete it. As is Olynyk, Richardson, Jones is only 22-23 million dollars. They need like 12 million more to complete the trade.
Got it, so there's more to come from the Heat end. Theyll have to trade another bad contract into space and lose more assets then.
Houston is still a great team. I am happy what we have, just add some much needed pieces and we should be good for championship.
Is anyone really even surprised to see this? Setting everyone up for the let down, like when we were heavily pursuing Bosh. This SnT was never going to happen. Same Old story with the Rockets....
Wow. Sounds like the deal might be in trouble. Kind of confusing. Olynyk has a big contract. (and a weird name)
