I saw Gerson at a game I went to at the Toyota Center last year and talked to him for a few minutes. He was one of the two finalists for the Charlotte GM job, and I wished him luck and asked if he thought he'd get the gig. His response: "I'm not really worried about that right now; we're trying to win a championship here."

Much respect for that guy, and I hope he gets the job this time around.

Honestly, if the 76ers could do a "do over" they probably wouldn't have let Hinkie go. They are figuring out what they lost now. I am sure if they could they would hire him back. But I am sure Hinkie would say "nah I am good."

I am sure Hinkie will eventually get back in the game, but on his terms and in the right situation. Certainly the a situation where he feels comfortable with ownership.

Yeah, lets not lose anymore coaching or management. That would be great.

Can teams poach the Warriors people? Thanks.

They've had guys like Alvin Gentry, Luke Walton and Jerry West taken from them already. I think it's the players on that team that need poaching.

Not worried about it but still took the time to interview for the job?

I'm sure he was thinking about the job a lot. Being the GM for an NBA team is probably his big life goal. I just like the fact that he was still doing his best to focus on the Rox despite all the other stuff going on in his life.

Gersson Rosas is a true professional and I am glad he's staying a Rocket for now.

Disappointed for him, he deserves it.

Gerson staying with us is great but otherwise congrats to Elton Brand. I had no idea he was doing so well for himself post career. Injuries really hampered him ever reaching his peak. Good for him.

I heard Elton Brand got promoted to the job, because he caught Gersson taking pictures of their Big Board while in their offices for the interview.
