I just don't understand why they can't bring Hinkie back. The process clearly worked. He did his job. The league didn't want Hinkie tanking anymore, but he doesn't need to now. He has his stars. Let Hinkie build around them!

If they bring back Hinkie the Sixers would need to completely admit they were wrong in firing him. Based on how they reacted w/ Colangelo I doubt they will bring Hinkie back.

I think by interviewing Morey and Rosas they've already admitted it.

They can just cover that up by indicating that they are just interviewing for the best person for the job. If they publicly indicated they wanted Hinkie back and/or hired him they would genuinely have to admit it IMO.

So what's the big deal anyway? We all make mistakes sometimes. EVERYONE already knows the Sixers made a mistake in firing Hinkie. So what's the big difference in everyone knowing and acknowledging what everybody already knows? Personally, I have more respect for individuals and organizations that take ownership of their mistakes and learn from them rather than deny they ever made one and double down on them. It's so stupid.

Maybe Hinkie doesn't want to go back to Philly and he was already approached.

If Philly approached Hinkie, Hinkie would be able to name his terms. Also, it would vindicate him publicly. Philly did not approach Hinkie. Too much loss of face.

I really blame Stephen A Smith, this loudmouth was protesting on First Take Everyday for Sam Hinkie to be Fired. Now Stephen A Smith and the 76ers Owner look like buffoons.

In fairness, Stephen A. Smith ALWAYS looked like a buffoon.

I thought part of the reason he was let go was because he wasn't easy to get along with or he treated some people like a jerk. Or at least I thought I heard that on the radio. I thought Barkley said the same thing.
