Will the winning lure the Tillman into a false sense of security about continuing cheapness?

I don't see a negative with being fiscally responsible with this team. It means we have good pieces worth the right amount of money. That should in turn mean good trade assets.

Taking albatross contracts for potentially marginally better talent not only hurts the team in the short run but the long run as well.

I liken it to being in debt so you take a payday loan to pay off your debt and you're left with an even worse situation.

It's possible for this team to improve with good contracts and better talent that fits our mold. I don't think Morey is patting himself on the back looking at this roster and thinking his work is done. If there is a deal he can get done that will improve this roster, it'll happen. Otherwise if it doesn't happen, assume the deals offered are so one sided it's to the detriment of the team.

One thing I do know is that MCW is a better player than Knight. Knight is not worth the right amount of money.

That is the reason I want to trade Knight for a rotation player.

Recently GS give each of 10-15th man 15 minutes playing time a game. Trade all players who don't play any minutes.

I'm all for upgrades and I'm sure Morey is too especially if we can dump a contract player who isn't even producing for us.

Both Tilman and Ariza want money more than Championship.

    Why separate?

Some fans are never satisfied... we have one of the most expensive payrolls in the league - yet guys wanna b**** bc we havent spent more on injury prone and overpaid players... smh...

Harden got his super uber deal, CP3 got his 4/160 max deal, CC got paid... Tillman has not gone on the cheap...

its a business... the idea is to turn a profit - not run yerself into the poor house...

or next thing you know you got threads on CF about you being in financial troubles... lol

The team has only one chance in every 30 years.

Tilman do not cherish this chance!

let's be honest. This team will not win the Championship without paying big luxury tax.

Morey and MDA are not that good as everyone here thinks, therefore Tilman has to spend big money.

Think, how hard it is to defeat healthy GS and healthy Raptors?

    Championship rely on Tilman!

Are you talking about a trade? I'm not talking about trading and giving up picks for him. Luc's making $4.3mil, which is about double the min. I'm just saying if he's waived or bought out by Feb he's worth using up a roster spot at the min ($2m), and since it's prorated this means less than $1m risk to the team. (This thread is about cheapness after all). He only has to be as good as he was in the 2018 playoffs to be worth it. I agree it's too risky to spend more than the min on him.

Ariza is also about being close to home and has expressed a desire to play with James. All I can tell you is when Ariza was a free agent someone around the locker room told me they believed Ariza was exhausted and would welcome a chance to play in LA or possibly GS.

He's not cheap at all. He went out his way to get Bzdelik and cut Melo a detrimental player that is owed 3 million. Le$ is the cheap b*stard.

Rockets haven't cut Melo yet. Trying to find a trade partner(Dec.15) or team to claim him on waivers to eat his money.
