Yes. Cause it's not like he has no other option.

And i'm actually shocked Mike still played him in the 4th considering he's a rookie. Maybe he thinks House is much better than Shumpert.

K, well, there were a lot of people around here saying House should not only start, but the Rockets now had a Big 4 with House. Nothing wrong with that, but in the process they had to dump on other Rockets players. Just like this thread. OP sets up one guy to get dumped on, either Ariza or House. Seems like that's the way it has to be for the House fans: somebody has to suck.

I guess the answer to this is no. He's been probably our worst player in the playoffs so far.

Gerald Green has been worse, by far. It is not a even close. House has still played good defense.

Green hasn't played nowhere near as many minutes as House as. For the minutes that House is playing, he should be contributing more.

House Danuel is not as battled tested as some of the other families of the Westeros Conference.

Hopefully he doesn't turn out to be a Theon that crumbles whenever there is adversity.

    House is too inconsistent.

He's a year or two away from really being ready for the role he currently has.

    Needs to shoot better.

His contract this summer is looking cheap.

Remains to be seen but he has not done himself any favors.
    HE is tentative and inconsistent
Alot think he is a started in this league but he has not shown it yet
    consistency is everything
He needs to be more aggressive

Ideally, we'll win it all while Danuel underperforms. As champs we'll convince him to stay, since nobody's going to be beating down his door with glowing offers. Then he can grow into a starting role for us and become a valuable contributor.

MDA not omnipotent so not playing Shump does not mean he will never play Shump.

But Rockets have to do something different and much sooner if bench lays another egg. What is harm of inserting Shump (everyone else on bench ice cold) or even Harty (especially if Clint sick)?

It is clear that D'Antoni trusts House more than he does Shumpert.

He'll still likely get more than the Rockets initially offered but yea he isn't doing himself any favors thus far.

Fortunately, this is a "what have you done for me lately" league. A big game at the right moment and all this will be forgotten.

So do I, but I'm open to giving Shumpert a shot at least at this point, especially if House continues like this. Can't hurt.

I feel the same way. Prior to the playoffs starting it was obvious that House was the better player in literally every way. Better shooter, better passer, rebounder, scorer, defender...Shump appeared useless and that's why he's not getting any minutes. But House looks lost out there. I think the pressure of the playoffs really gets to him, he doesn't look like himself. Not just the missed shots, but he looks lost on defense, almost like he's trying too hard. He over-commits to help defense when it isn't needed and ends up leaving his man open for no reason. I'm no fan of Shump but I think Shump is better than this version of House.

Role players notoriously struggle on the road, give him time to find his playoff legs, he will be fine.

House will be fine. I think the main reason arizas loss hurts is ego is such a great 6th man and our bench giving us 5pts like yesterday is not sustainable.
