I mean, the guy had 4 season with efg% barely above .500. They are low, extremely low. .500 - .510
You can literally give any player in the NBA the ball and let him shoot 25 times a game. And i can almost guarantee you he will average the same ppg as Melo. Also, the dude is trash on defense and is a cancer when it comes to chemistry.
I hope he can do some good with the Rockets but as of now, i am a hater more than anything. Hopefully he doesn't F up this team like all the team he's on.

In his full prime he had 4.90 ORPM good for 6th in the league.

Give Ariza ball to shoot for 25 times and let defenses focus on him let's see then how good he will be doin. All will Melo do is punish teams with Gordon for not paying enough attention for JH/CP. Or playing second units against him. If straight out of couch Gerald Green can light it up in our team then Melo will light it up too

It's the off-season, we dramatize and over-hype everything.

If we signed the great Downtown Bobby Brown this board would be going just as crazy.

a lot of players wouldn’t be able to create 25 shots a game...Melo could do it all scoring wise in his prime, but still wasn’t as productive a scorer as guys like Harden or KD

now we’re getting 34 yo Melo, so my expectations are low...offensively, I think he’ll be ok unless he really is as bad as he looked in OKC, but defensively, all I can do is hope for the best

He can still shoot. He'll get more open shots in this system

people who don't understand that never played ball in their life. there is just certain type of talent that will produce shots and some people won't. Melo may be washed but give me him against defensive close-out instead of Ariza 10/10. And Arizas defense been overrated he had some down moments this year and snake torched him anyway

Because in the 2016 Olympic games he looked like the greatest basketball player in the world when he scored 31 vs the Australia team that had the great NBA players like Patty Mills and Andrew Bogut. Six seasons ago he lead the league in points per game. He has about 6 nicknames and 100 threads on here and several Melo only fans. What's not to like?

Anthony has shot creation ability but he's never been a great shooter. That's in all reality. Now he doesn't have he ability to pressure the rim or draw fouls whatsoever. He's a venomless snake. While other guys are inferior predators specie wise, they still have their health.
