First Conway with the Bowling Green Massacre. Now, Spicer with Atlanta.

I'm curious. Especially what the Trump supporters think. Genuinely curious.

    No one knows, I guess.

This administration is terrible. Laughable. Entertaining. But terrible for this country.

So he can declare martial law after the next "terrorist attack."

The only Atlanta terror attack that comes to mind is Eric Rudolph bombing the Olympics. He was anti-gay and anti-abortion so I'm guessing that they made up a different attack.

I fear this is the only possible reason. I love just chalking it up to stupidity or incompetence, but Conway stated her fake attack THREE times, and Spicer did not mistakenly blurt out "Atlanta." It was planned.

    Gives me the disturbs, man.

I agree with B-Bob, and how I hope I'm wrong. They appear to be setting up a response to an incident that has yet to occur in hopes that it does occur, so they can take full advantage of whatever that happens to be.

The election of Donald Trump will go down as the most embarrassing moment in U.S. history, bar none.

It's because Trump is stupid and not qualified to be president, and he only cares about what the headlines make him out to be. A true narcissist. This should come as no surprise to anyone, though.

Obama and Trump are pretty much the same except they have different forms of hateful people that support them.

But, the dude loves you all. I'm ashamed of what this country has become, I really am. I hope we can all live together and respect each other and have our own opinions without being labeled a certain way. I long for that day that MLK talked about, God bless his soul.

With some of the posters above...

Initially thought it was just idiocy of Trump. But now I think it's a strategy. Goes with his (and Bannon) regular use of Alt fact and conspiracy theories.

Geat way to keep a particular group loyal, deluded, fearful, mad, victimized and ready to be angered into a frenzy. ---> great read: And Then the Lynch Mob Came for Me

These series of tweets make the second point.

I'll be curious to see the response from the usual suspects when the white house uses the next real attack as a means to keep chipping away our civil rights.

Doesnt even have to be real.

I mean the attack could be real, but the instigators doesnt have to be.

Can't argue the stressed out part and the idiot part.

But just like with the other Trump spokesperson's lie, er, "miss-speak" about Bowling Green, the "stressed out idiot" Spicer repeated this same "confusion" three times over two days. His"confusion" also extends into his choices of examples... all three, and especially the Atlanta/Orlando were not foreign terrorists with connections to the seven countries on the Muslim ban list that came here to terrorize, but rather self-radicalized here in the United States. And in the case on the Atlanta/Orlando case, the terrorist was U.S. born. So in these examples cited by the stressed out idiot", speaking for Trump, the Muslim ban would have done nothing to prevent these three terrorist attacks.

My point was that it doesn't really matter if he said Orlando, San Bernardino, and Boston vs Atlanta, San Bernardino, and Boston? He screwed up but the spirit (in his opinion) of the statement is the same. It's more interesting to me that of the 3 occurrences consisting of hundreds of reporters, no one corrected him or asked for an explanation. That's literally their jobs. Are the reporters also confused or planning for martial law?

Remember the last time a reporter chased him for an answer?

Actually I don't but regardless the Trump admin didn't make up a terrorist attack as the OP is stating. They mixed up an attack. So OP is fake news.
