Still a better investment than diamonds.

Also Pirate Black Yeezys should run 800-1000. The Nike Yeezys that PJ Tucker wore a few times are 4-5k. They’ll be worth more in a few years.

I found a pair of mcfly hyperdunks at a goodwill visiting my little sis in L.A for $20. I repainted the patchy midsoles + the scratched heels and made them more mcfly-ish. Took them to my first shoecon here in the H, downtown. Someone was willing to give me $900. It took a lot of time to grail in doc brown's formula to time travel with a paint brush so I passed up on the cash. people love their sneakers.

Somebody offered you $900 and you didn't take the money? LOl

Listen, I can understand how somebody might like to collect sneakers, okay. But no pair of sneakers (especially those 2016 YESSYS in Pirate Black is worth $1,800 or even $1000). I could see paying a high price for original air jordans, but a pair of crappy sneakers from 2016 ain't worth it.

It reminds me of baseball cards. A honus wagner is an investment and worth every penny: a refractor card from 2018 ain't worth anything but the 2 dollars for the material it costs to make it. Baseball card companies artificially inflate the prices of their product to sell product. It seems like Shoe companies are doing the same thing.

There is no way that a person that buys a $2000 of pirate Black YESSYS as an investment will ever get his/her money back.

Did (and do) you do a lot of your own work on these (and other shoes as well)? And how much did these retail originally? That's pretty impressive regardless. I'm just curious, really great find at Goodwill, this could be a nice side business for you.

The some of the most popular car among most millionaires is the Toyota Prius, Camary or Honda Accord or even VW Jetta, look it up. Truly wealth people appreciate value. If one is into shoes so be it; but most that could pay cash for those shoes would pass on the opportunity. The target buyer for those shoes is someone living on credit and thinks the way one dresses is a priority to one’s success.

I watched one of those flower shows on Pbs, don't ask why. But there was a flower worth around 1 million dollars+. no hyperbole.

Thanks. it was all me and leather paints. However, I did get the concept of painting shoes from the wifey, who paints DC and tim burton characters on her chuck taylor's, that's when the light bulb went off .."hmm can I do that on leather?" .

once you get used to it, it's like painting on a canvas, a small canvas. the originals go for $300 used. I only work with leather shoes because it's easy to seal with a sealer for longevity. Never suede.. you have to use dye and wear gloves.
I'm always impressed with the guys that do it with an airbrush like it's nothing.
The last pair I worked on was around 4 months ago for my son. Can't begin youth league without style.

You don't think wealthy people have multiple cars ? The Toyotas and Hondas serve as low-key vehicles.

There's no doubt wealthy folks have a closet of expensive clothes and shoes. The clothes might not look flashy, but they're definitely expensive.

Somebody mentioned the Yeezy's value would increase over time. If that's the case, there's your value theory. Wealthy folks probably value cocaine too - the rich man's drug.
