    It's stupid to mention the Mavs as getting into the mess that could result from Whiteside pulling a Deandre Jordan should he refuse to sign with the Miami Heat now that D-Wade has gone to the Bulls. The Mavericks can't pull Barnes' offer because they've already signed him. So Whiteside can only nix Durant's move to Golden State if the Bogut salary dump stands in the way of Golden State signing Durant. And there will be plenty of other teams who'd be willing to take on Bogut, likely including our beloved Houston Rockets who I think still have 10 million to spend this offseason.

    Whiteside has said he's still signing with Miami... so fun hypotheticals, but nothing to see here.

    Dallas is happy they got bogut for free while digning Barnes. Why would they screw themselves ??

    All the big money has already been committed to other players. If he did decide to change his mind it would create a massive domino effect. He's staying in Miami, though.
