Clowney straight up? Clowney and a third for Peterson and second? 55 and second next year?

Because I thought you were an intelligent, knowledgeable Houston sports fan tired of the endless, mind numbing talk about which OT we should get. Apparently, I was wrong and you are just one of the mindless trolling pricks on this board.

In no universe is one season of Peterson worth one season of Clowney.

I don't think so either just thought that one place to discuss would be kind of fun and, no, I am not Bobby. My ideal scenario would be trade Clowney for a mid first this year and a second next year. Trade pick 55 for Peterson. That would lead us with two firsts, a second rounder this year and Peterson. Take best OT with mid first rounder or Oliver if he drops. Second number one for best OL or CB. Best available other than qb rest of draft.

I wasn't annoyed, at all. But guys like Clowney are ridiculously valuable while you have them.

Peterson is too perfect for us! If KC makes that move, they're going to be really tough.

With that said, moving Clowney for Peterson would give the Cards two dynamic pass rushers. There may be a larger Cards trade (analyst projection on CBS https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...m-needs-multiple-options-for-every-selection/ ) in the works, which would gain them more draft capital and help facilitate a Peterson trade and replacement.

In any case, we'll see Gaine's planning and maneuvering skills for the 2nd time this week. Here's hoping we do something both smart and bold.

Peterson is under contract for two years, totaling $23MM; Clowney, if he merely signs the franchise tag, will make $15.5MM this year alone.

I would absolutely offer my first round pick for Peterson & hope Arizona bites. There is no player in this (or any other) draft that would have the same seismic impact as Patrick Peterson would; that's a gamechanging move. Then you load up on OL in round 2, mix in a RB, then more OL. I'd seriously draft 6 linemen - throw it ALL against the wall and see what sticks. But getting Peterson would allow you to do that.

Id rather have the package the Seahawks got for their DE, then flip one of the 2nd rounders for Peterson.

I was making a point about value for this year, not about their actual salaries. Yes, two years of Peterson is more valuable.

Arizona is rebuilding. They are not trading Petersen for Clowney.....lol. You have to PAY Clowney and rebuilding teams don't give $100+ million dollar contracts to players that are not QBs.
