That little speech he gave in preseason on Hard Knocks is really paying dividends. You know...the one where he said 7-9, 8-8, and even 9-7 is not acceptable and won't be tolerated. I agree that he is getting a free pass apparently. Rams must not care so much about winning to give a coach the benefit of the doubt and ignore whether the team is making progress. Apparently, they see the team making progress under him. A city move might be stressful but what the hell does that have to do with coaching your team and game outcomes...especially as the season goes on? But, yea, Fisher is doing one helluva job apparently. He's got the GM and ownership in his pocket. Elsewhere in the league, they actually take the team's record into account during coach evaluations.
Rams management went Texans management. Jeff talks well and probably instills confidence in his bosses. MDA is similar... he hasn't been successful in 10 years and keeps getting hired.
But MDA had time off and for the most part is handling the Rockets coaching situation well. And different league.

Time off isn't necessarily a good (or bad) thing. MDA wasn't successful after PHX, but kept getting jobs. Rockets management didn't KNOW how MDA would do, they went off faith. He, like Fisher, is a good salesman.
Right, my first post stated.... "Rams management went Texans management" with the early extensions. There's no doubt both MDA and Fisher are good salesmen.
Apparently the extension was to cover the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Rams beat writers still think he's gone after this season. At least in his tenure at St Louis, his teams always gave good effort in divisional games. That's his only chance to survive now I bet.
What the f . . . . . .. . Eric Dickerson . . Mr. Rams . . . . .next to Kurt Warner .. . He is Mr. Rams! Rocket River
Think it was an honest interview there by Dickerson. Interesting. But if you test people like Eric did, that's a little childish. He should have manned up and made the call before going that route. Testing people always goes wrong.
Look at the reaction though. If he asked straight up do you think he would have gotten an honest answer? Nothing about the reaction says he would have. Rocket River
