I don't have the most powerful smartphone in the world and I loved the old mobile skin because it was quick and not demanding on my phone. This new skin has more features but runs at least 2x slower on my phone and is more demanding. Is there a way to bring back the mobile skin?

Same! This new mobile layout takes up nearly all my RAM. I have to clear all data and close out my browser a couple times a day because it becomes too slow after a while.

Feedback like this is more helpful if you provide Phone make/model/OS version.

quick question: Where are you using the phone when you experience this slow down? Are you at cafes with shared WiFi?

Also, is Facebook app slow for you too? or Twitter app? or any other major social media app.

What I'm getting at is it could be RAM/clock speed, could be WiFi speed. I would eliminate WiFi speed first as the culprit. That would make more sense, because this new version does have significantly more GETs on page load, especially image GETs.

Android BLU Vivo XL used mostly on home Wi-Fi (100mbps) or work Wi-Fi (much faster).

So yeah, budget phone with 2GB of RAM, shows me RAM available. When I'm on here and active it goes from 1.3GB available (which is the normal) to as low as 300MB available. This is with my browser (pre-installed, unremovable Opera) being the only thing open (other than Avast Security which runs in background all the time. Location is always off too fwiw.

No other site chews up my RAM so much, nor does any app (though admittedly I don't use many apps).

It's not a deal-killer for me by any means, but if there was a way to get a stripped down version of mobile - even with less features - I'd probably use it.

Having to clear and close everything a couple times a day isn't the worst thing in the world, but this is just some feedback.

I'm in the same boat as OP but I'm using an S7 Edge and still struggling.

It's mostly posting itself that is difficult. Typing is so slow and labored, even with a top end phone and a high speed connection.

It seems that you have to wait a while for the whole page to load or something, then typing gets smoother. But that wait is fairly long. Maybe some kind of optimization problem?

    I dunno.

Regarding the laggy typing issue, check out the accessibility->services part of your phone settings. If things like additional notification access for an external launcher or browser access for antivirus are activated there, you have to deactivate them. This is responsible for most keyboard issues and fixes them immediately.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately none of those features are listed in accessibility for me.

Different phone-related issue: is there a way to lengthen the period during which you stayed logged in on a phone? Not using the app, just Safari on an iPhone6. I think it makes me login every 24 hours, I would love it if it would just allow me to stay logged in indefinitely like on my computer.
