    In Wade's case, it's so obvious. He'll give up $2-3 million to chase another ring with LeBron. It's a matter of when, not if. He can coast the first part of the season with the Bulls. My guess is it happens before February.

    Phil has blown it so badly with the Knicks it's a crime. At this point, I doubt he can find a team that accepts Melo's contract. The major problem with a buyout (and trade) is there are two years left. I can see Phil playing hardball and demanding a hefty pound of flesh over that extra $28 million. Since Melo cares more about living in NY than winning, he may end up staying with the Knicks just to spite Phil.

    Wade will help with defense, but cant play next to Bron and is better suited off the bench

    Melo would be like the ice bergs melting during a severe flood. He would make their defense worse.

    Remember Olympic Melo, who doesn't demand isolations, actually respects his teammates and moves without the ball. The ring-chasing version of Olympic Melo would show up in Cleveland. Alpha-LeBron would make sure of that.

    Wade off the bench would easily be the best 6th man in the NBA (if healthy).

    Rockets trade Ryan Anderson & Pat Beverley for Carmelo Anthony;
    Rockets trade Trevor Ariza, Lou Williams, and Eric Gordon for cap space;
    Rockets sign Chris Paul;
    Rockets sign Dwyane Wade for the MLE;
    Rockets sign Vince Carter to the veteran minimum; and
    Rockets trade James Harden for LeBron James.

    PG: Paul / Taylor
    SG: Wade / Carter
    SF: Anthony / Dekker
    PF: James / Harrell
    C: Capela / Onuaku

    You missed the point. It's not about winning. It's about getting the stars.

    MJ and Pippen won mutliple rings together. The Rockets need to sign them.

    Is wade still good though? He's not like Ray Allen who relies on his shooting and was able to enjoy a long career as a top NBA player, Wade's like Rose he depends mostly om his athleticism to make plays. I remember Lebron's last game 7 for Miami both Bosh and Wade combined for 10 pts and that was years ago.

    If even Lebron has slowed a step I'd think Wade has slowed even more

    All these pathetic owners and gm's throughout the league don't want to chase a ring so the players must take it into their own hands. Good for them.
