I get that First Take is scripted and Max and Stephen A always have to disagree regardless of the topic, but this is dumb even by ESPN's standards. How can you "just make your shots" when your ass is parked on the bench due to foul trouble? The Rockets were awful offensively in the 4th quarter, but there were also some horrendous fouls called like that one Rondo drew on Harden. Kinda hard to even get a shot off much less make it when the refs are giving the Lakers the ball back on calls like that.

Would Clutchfans give up watching Max Kellerman if Scott Foster was kicked out of the league?

I'm down for that to happen!

Does Max Kellerman even know how to dribble a basketball?

Sorry but the more b****ing you do about the refs, the more the refs will target you. They just have that much power.

I mean, right and wrong. Yes, the ultimate meta hurracanrana is knocking down shots. Knock em down.

Also let’s play 5 on 5 why not? James Harden doesn’t have to be on mega-star Lebron james’ biggest platform ever to be officiated the same way every night, pre reg or post season, against any team by any ref. Because if Lebron isn’t good enough to knock down his own shots and win playing 5 on 5 and the league lets a rogue ref make up the difference....well....he’s lesser of a champion, ball player and person than everyone gives him credit for and neither he, nor the lakers, nor the league deserve what they have.

Play fair. What’s wrong with the Milwaukee Bucks winning a chip? Toronto? Houston? Sacramento? What’s wrong with big market teams earning their banners instead of being given?

Is that why Houston is forever villain? Why it’s ok to disparage Hakeem Olajuwon on national television? Because they went 5 on 8 for two years and nothing could stop the heart of a champion?

"Don't let Rondo get within arm's reach of you and that call never happens. Simple." - Max Kellerman

Max is right. There's a reason Harden always flames out in the postseason. You guys can always counter that with misleading stats, but when you look at the actual shooting numbers, that's ALL that matters. In the Playoffs, something like TS% becomes less relevant because players don't get as many free throws. You need to start hitting big shots. Last year in the postseason, I remember Chris Paul and Gordon hitting the big shots at the end of games, not Harden. At some point, Harden's going to have to learn how to take smarter shots and when to trust his teammates (like Capela, Paul, and Gordon) more. He also needs to stop checking out during periods.

There are garbage waste-of-space refs out there like Scott Foster who make it more difficult, but if you're not shooting like an MVP or close to it, you don't deserve to go to the Finals.
