Emmett Jones was a popular candidate for WR but looks like he’s staying at KU with a passing game coordinator promotion. There is some chatter that his buyout was at issue in part. This would be a big disappointment if true as the belief was that Jones would be a HUGE asset recruiting the DFW area. Tyron Carrier is another name that has been mentioned a lot. Current WR coach at UH who followed Holgerson from WV. Not that KU is a football powerhouse but poaching guys from Rutgers and UH would be a letdown after we just canned a bunch of guys from the same. That being said, I’m fine with Carrier if that’s the choice.
I'm fine with Coleman if that's who they roll with, the delay seems a bit odd though. Okam will interview this week.

Hutzler is supposed to be one of the top ST coaches out there so that will be a big plus. Has also worked under some pretty good defensive coaches in Harbaugh, Durkin and Muschamp.
247 reporting that Drayton texted the players last night indicating he was staying. Frank Okam interviewing today apparently.
Yup. I understand the perils of mid-season changes but with how much special teams struggled and the rumors regarding Mehringer, disappointing that Herman just stood pat the way he did. Chip Brown just posted that Hutzler might not coordinate special teams and that Herman is looking for a TE assistant with ST experience to do it. Just a strange decision if true, then again it's Chip Brown so it's probably not.
