First college player called into camp since 1999...Jordan Morris from the Sounders academy and Stanford. Last college player to play for the USMNT was Ante Razov in 1995.

Rimando beasting it in goal 2nd half. Defense letting a lot of chances by, but he's holding solid.

I thought our attack looked pretty good in the first half. Things really fell off once we started making subs but Rimando stepped up when we needed him.

Rimando kept the match from ending in a draw or even a loss with his great play in goal in the second half. Defense definitely looked lost after the subs were made.

Green did nothing to impress me last night, still hoping he picks it up soon. His loan deal should get him plenty of time this year to improve.

Joe Gyau impressed me in the first half, and then looked not so good when he had to defend more in the second half.

    Brek Shea looks useless

Timmy Chandler still doesn't look quite comfortable on the left side, but didn't look bad either

Diskerud looked aware and comfortable in the midfield, one of the better performances tonight

Bedoya did well to make the run resulting in his tap in. Didn't notice much wrong about his play otherwise.

Altidore looked physically strong as always, but looked like he was trying to hard to lift the team, and not being a striker and looking for goal. Might have had something to do with the armband.

Other assorted young players looked exactly as such, young.

USMNT plays today @ Chile. It will be showing on Fox Sports 1.

Since it is a non-FIFA date there will be some top players that aren't included, but with all of the players returning to MLS we should have a decent enough roster. Chile will likely be hit harder by the non-FIFA date than we will.

Looking forward to watching it though.

Missed the game, but looks like the Yanks blew a 2-1 HT lead. Recurring theme post-WC.

Our defense continues to be disappointing. Too many mental errors.

Lots of giveaways in our own half, and then terrible marking on back post runs.

    How Sway?
They couldn't even qualify for the 2015 African Cup of Nations and now you think they'll magically be able to qualify for Euro 2016? Unpossible!

They played with a 3-5-2. They kept leaving big gaps between the defense and the mids. Also, there was little cover for Jones inexperience as a center back.

3-5-2 didn't work well at all. While Yedlin is an ideal wingback, and Shea has the abilities of one (needs to work on his fitness), the problem is that we have a hard enough time finding 2 decent center backs, let alone 3. As you said, Jones inexperience was noticeable, and I think it was their second goal that he should have easily been able to cover but lost his man instead. Although it really didn't get much better when we switched to the Diamond later in the second half either.

Man I wouldn't even call it just inexperience, indiscipline seems a better word. I don't think he has the discipline required to play that position.

    Left wingback...then left back.
He's played left back before. It's no big deal plus Klinsmann is in the Brek Shea lovers camp. He will play Brek Shea in every other position on the field including goal before he ever decides Brek Shea can't cut it.
