Just finished Jack Ryan Season 2. Wife and I liked it more than season 1. Some plot elements were a little "what was the point of that" but overall an entertaining season. Michael Kelly was a good addition to the season as well. I'd give it a solid 7.5 or 8/10
On Jack Ryan, the big final shootout where 5 guys killed like 100 armed Venezuelan presidential guards with no prep work and only one wounded strained credulity for me Shout out to Imhotep. That was a blast from the past. Uber was a dumbass, but they tried to build him up as heroic for his refusal to follow simple instructions. Didn't like that. I like that it wasnt a plot about "they hate our freedom" but rather about who gets to plunder Venezuelan natural resources. That seemed strangely honest to me. Good basic plot but execution was spotty. I think I like the first season more, but a good binge watch.
Atypical season three is on... the shows continues to be one of the best shows on television despite the Joke impression by Jennifer Jason Leigh. Great writing and clever character development.
Haven't started watching Season 2 but really enjoyed season 1... and this trailer seems well-suited to the bizarre nature of this very dark comedy...
the made the evil, murdering dictator a capitalist and the political heroine running against him a socialist. Its about as far from whats really happening in Venezuela as possible.
Not what I saw. He spent all his time talking about "The Revolution" and "The People" and has Simon Bolivar quotes and all kinds of typical socialist window dressing and ignored it all behind closed doors just like Maduro. His abandonment of his socialist leanings was the whole subplot about the general. The female character was based on María Corina Machado, according to the actress, who is center left and very anti-Maduro. I did not a single time hear her talk about the means of production or anything. Neither one was getting a job at the Heritage Foundation, but he was basally a Kleptocrat wearing the skin of a Socialist.
I like how that one dude got stabbed in the eye and was all like “just a flesh wound, no big deal I’ll just put a band aid on it!”
I've been watching Blacklist on netflix. Just started season 2. So far so good. I try to limit myself to two episodes a week so I don't get burned out. Finished izombie Been watching Alice on ant tv, when there is nothing else on during the 7 o'clock evening hour. Fun show. I remember watching as a kid but not really paying attention.
Started watching Mr Inbetween, a little slow but it's really getting good. Only 30 minute episodes so not much time needed to invest. I have mostly enjoyed every Australian crime show I have watched, they turn out a quality product. Women are usually incredibly sexy.
Don't know much about their TV shows, but their movies are solid The Rover Animal Kingdom The Proposition These Final Hours Cargo off the top of my head Haven't seen The Nightengale yet, but it's supposed to be good.
I saw Animal Kingdom it was a great movie and their horror movies are usually pretty good. You should check MR I very good.
I wish I had time to watch television. I keep thinking I will. I have two seasons of Always Sunny to watch, half a season of Barry, Fleabag, some others that I probably can't remember right now.
