This would be 2017, so while there would be some residual effects from Obama policy, this was from an entire year of Trump policy. Now we'll see how that holds up next year, but the point was that even without being part of the PCA, the US still leads the world when it comes to cutting down on emissions.....and countries championed for being in the PCA like India and China are still the absolute worst when it comes to the direction they are trending and getting worse every year.

Matches up with recession? I didn’t see a chart going back to show the drop from 06 to 09. Can you point me to that? Conceptually the nat gas point makes sense, but I haven’t seen anything that shows a dramatic shift over the last few years. Power plants aren’t easy to just turn up.

The real question is, when is Putin going to pull out of Trump?

    Everything?

It costs zero dollars, takes zero tax cuts, takes zero tax increases, requires no government programs, and requires very little knowledge to go vegan.

Move away from coal to natural gas, solar, wind. The reverse isn't going to happen when left to "free" market, but Trump sure is trying to bring coal back, through what's-that'-scary-word, socialism (he want to use tax money to buy coal, in order to help coal busn profit or survive).

p.s. Paris agreement is a promise to meet a goal, not a how to do it. Some people are confuse or trying to confuse other.

This year is the first whole year of Trump policies.

And IIRC, this was actually the lowest drop we've had in 3 years.

If people go Vegan great. If they don't that doesn't mean they can't still advocate for other measures to help with the problem of climate change.

Not only that, the problem isn't the diet.

The problem is the livestock. If science figured out a way to make cows have less impact (and other farm livestock) on the environment then his argument becomes null.

In fact, you can also help the planet by eating seafood, shrimps, lobster, and fish, instead of beef.

Yeah Trump is great on the environment. We are going to have best environment. Also that report and results are in spite of Trumps polices at the EPA. Look at this gem. Lets make coal great again.

In order to save 30 million dollars a year in savings due to the EPA regulations

EPA's replacement for the Clean Power Plan is out. It's expected to put almost no downward pressure on pollution levels. The one element I think is important that I'm not seeing in the public discourse -- the CPP was the regulatory response to a finding that GHG emissions are a detriment to human health. It can be (and will be) easily argued that the EPA is being unresponsive to its obligations to protect health. I expect the Affordable Clean Energy plan will be in litigation for years and will eventually be scuttled. Which I'm sure is fine by Trump anyway, since the process should delay action long enough to get him through a re-election campaign.
