Meh. That's common phrasing. Not really upset about that. What I'm actually irked about his Trump playing the 'Obama one up game' with recently deceased servicemembers by claiming that he calls them directly unlike Obama... Like the very fact that he mentioned that kinda shows his hand that his intention for calling the parents of recently KIA servicemembers is his ego of one upping the former president. Just pure disgusting.

Trump and his supporters have never cared about the vets, the soldiers, the flag or the anthem. They only use these things as excuses to attack people challenging white supremacy, which is what they actually care about.

I kind of agree. Maybe not the most tactful thing to say in those circumstances, but it's a mistake many people could make. Of course, he is now denying that he said such a thing, because he is unable to admit that he made any misstep is his handling of the situation. I think it makes rational sense. When you have a man who doesn't even understand the difference between life and health insurance sitting in the world's most powerful office on the planet it should rationally place you in a constant state of uneasyness. Also regarding this topic you should be upset that Trump uses calling dead servicemembers' families as another chance to one up Obama. That actually should piss you off. Ahh but bending a knee is more disrespectful to veterans.
It is completely thread worthy when a sitting President disrespects the service of our troops and a Gold Star family. As was pointed this was in light of Trump making a big deal about respecting veterans. You don't have to reply if you don't want to talk about this disrespect.
