I disagree. Harden's *I know what we need to do* was about adding *talent*. Not about shipping out CP. The goal was adding Butler. When Harden wanted Russ he didn't necessarily want CP shipped out. Yes Harden and CP clashed a bit, but not to the point where he wanted him flat out traded, imo.

That might be possible, we'll probably never know for sure. Regardless, between the "i know what we have to do" (which imo looked like a bigger thing then a regular "we need to add talent"), the fact that they didn't talk and didn't even interact in the last game they faced each other, and all the rumors floating around before the CP3 trade eh, for me it's just too much smoke.

I'm not going to fault CP3 for getting as much money as he can, but if he had structured a more team friendly deal with a no trade clause I think we'd be in a much better place right now. We probably could have added a third tier star or a great 3 and D player and kept Paul.

This assumption is just false. unless he was playing for free, it would of made no difference with LTS and the repeater in full effect

they were sitting on MLE money for an entire year. they could of spent to get a quality player with that money but they didn't. instead they dumped players with draft picks all for LTS

Tillman is garbage and he ruined our team and our future almost immediately after he arrived.

Late Prime Terry Porter. Whoever you want.

    A very good player.

Morey specifically said that Harden wanted to add Russ AND KEEP Paul but Morey told him that wouldn't be possible.

Morey is also saying in different interviews how he thinks the trade makes us better etc..everyone knows a trio of Harden, Paul and Russ wouldn't work so, the "get Russ without moving Chris" argument is kinda ridiculous imo, Harden is the first one to know/understand that's not possible.

Look, i'm the last fan of Tilman and i wish he would sell the team yesterday, but to think this trade goes down just because he wants it and without Harden being big part of it, for me it's delusional. I say this because i already see a lot of people put all the blame on Tilman if this will not work, Tilman wouldn't have forced Morey to make the trade if Harden wasn't on board in shipping Chris in the first place.

I was never a fan of the Westbrook trade but I tried to keep an open mind. So far, although he's had some positive moments, I'm even less a fan of the trade. He can't shoot, takes dumb shots, and can get lost on defense. We are still a very good team but that's because of Harden's greatness. Keeping CP3 would have been a better choice. It sucked to pay him such a lofty contract, but he was a much better fit on this team. Dude could shoot, defend, and made great decisions. In conclusion, I hated the trade when it happened and after watching him for nearly a quarter of the regular season, my sentiment stands...

I'm just sharing what I've read in a few articles. If you'd like to believe Harden forced Chris out, for whatever reason, that's your right.

Ever since Lebron left Miami and we got Dwight, Rockets have been seen as the villains of the league. Even in our Dwightmare year, the Rockets were receiving an unprecedented amount of hate for an 8th seed.

We're like the Bad Boy Pistons of this era in terms of hate received except we have no rings to show for it (so far).
