This sucks it was one of the fights I was really wanting to see.

Kind of wish they would have weigh in day of the fight. Cut out the extreme weight cutting and have the fighters fight at more of their natural weight

 

Extreme weight cuts have got to go.

 

Man such a bummer. That was going to be a spectacular fight for the ages.

I can't believe Rampage weighed in at 253 pounds.

what has happened to the LHW 205 division? Looking at the rankings of what once was a stacked division now looks kind of unimpressive. DC as champ does not seem to help. I assume Manuwa is next in line for a title fight.

Well, last night was a massive disappointment -- Rumble's coaches were completely baffled by what he was doing out there. Also, no more cards in New York for a while.

Grappling coach Neil Melanson: OK, stud. Now, let’s get your hands hot.

Voice: Why is he wrestling him?

Hooft: This is stupid.

(Johnson and Cormier are broken up by referee John McCarthy, and Johnson lands kicks.)

Voice: He’s tired already, DC. He doesn’t need to do this.

Voice: Why isn’t he listening?

Hooft: I don’t know why he’s doing that. We have no (expletive) eyes.

Break between Round 1 and Round 2
Hooft: Can you tell me why you’re wrestling? Now, you’re not going to wrestle. You take your distance. Stay away, two steps away. Why are you so worried about everything? The kicks and the knees are really good, but no kicks. Where’s your hands?

Voice: You’re doing great. Don’t (expletive) wrestle him.

Hooft: If you stand your distance, it’s an easy game. Why make it difficult?

Round 2
Hooft: Movement. Athletic. Movement. That’s it. Take your distance.

(Johnson reverses against the cage and goes for another takedown)

Hooft: You need distance.

Hooft: I’m not saying nothing.

(Cormier has Johnson on the mat and is setting up a choke)

Hooft: It’s going the same as last time.

(Johnson submits to Cormier via rear-naked choke)

Hooft: Why, why the (expletive) does this happen every (expletive) time, man? Crazy.

Rumble fixed his last match so he can leave with big pay day.

 

If you would have only said that before the match happened.

 

Hey it shocked me too. That's the thing about MMA, crazy things happen all the time.

 

Looks like Rumble is now protesting the weigh-in.

Tonight Stipe avenges the 2014 loss to JDS. Taking his 2nd win as champ and on his way to becoming the 1st HWC to successfully defend the title 3 times.

After another win Maia calls for a much deserved title shot
