Really? States are broke and can’t pay the 25%. The Paycheck tax break is a joke. The courts will block the EO anyway.

lol...like Vox covered it. I'll refer you back to this:

What's wrong with wanting voter ID? Sounds like less chance of fraud to me.....unless that's exactly what you're looking for (hmmm...) Why bail out the states with this bill? This is a C19 specific bill. Tackle the mismanagement issue in another bill. And even then, those states should take a hard look at how they got there and who they elected.

Regardless, the EO is a positive for everyone unless you can't see past the DTS and you'd rather cut off your nose to spite your face.

Nearly 20,000 fake US driver's licenses from China and other countries seized at Chicago airport

Another 2,000 counterfeit U.S. driver's licenses were intercepted at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport

Customs and Border Protection officers seized nearly 20,000 counterfeit U.S. driver's licenses at Chicago's O'Hare airport this year. The shipment of fake driver's licenses were sent to the United States and originated from China and other countries, according to the report from WNYW-TV.

Within the first six months of this year, CBP reportedly seized 19,888 counterfeit driver's licenses and other fake documents in 1,513 shipments at O'Hare International Airport alone. Federal customs officials say the shipments arrived mostly from China and Hong Kong, but there were some shipments from South Korea and Britain.

CBP said most of the counterfeit driver's licenses were for college-age students. Many had the same photo but with different names.

Ralph Piccirilli, CBP's acting area port director in Chicago, said the IDs were "very realistic." CBP noted the barcodes on fake Michigan driver's licenses actually worked.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport also intercepted fake driver's licenses arriving through international cargo.

"In the last six months, CBP officers at DFW intercepted nearly 900 counterfeit driver's licenses that were delivered via international shipping services to the Dallas area," a CBP press release from April said. "Approximately 2000 fake IDs have been seized over the last 18 months."

"What is most disconcerting about theses interceptions, besides the volume in which we are experiencing, is the ease in which so many young people freely share their personal information with counterfeiters abroad," CBP Port Director Timothy M. Lemaux, Area Port of Dallas, said. "We'll continue to collaborate with local law enforcement to educate the public, and anyone who is contemplating purchasing a counterfeit ID online, on the potential dangers of sharing your personal identifiable information with a criminal element."

The CBP teamed up with local area law enforcement and local universities in the Dallas area to inform young adults about the dangers of providing their personal identifiable information online to counterfeiters abroad to obtain a fraudulent document.

Law enforcement is not only concerned that the fake IDs will be used by criminals, but also that the money made from selling the counterfeit documents are "possibly funding criminal or terrorist organizations."

"These fraudulent identity documents can lead to identity theft, worksite enforcement, critical infrastructure protection, fraud linked to immigration-related crimes such as human smuggling and human trafficking," CBP said in a news release.

"These counterfeit driver's licenses can lead to disastrous consequences," Piccirilli said in a statement. "Criminal organizations use these counterfeit IDs to avoid attracting attention to their illegal activities."

Last fall, CBP agents in Kentucky intercepted nearly 3,000 counterfeit IDs and over 3,000 blank cards for counterfeiting licenses that were headed to New York City, according to Fox News.

Last month, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized a massive shipment of human hair products from China that could be connected to "potential human right abuses of forced child labor and imprisonment." CBP officers at the Port of New York/Newark confiscated a shipment of 13 tons of hair products worth over $800,000.

It didn't stop Hussein, did it? It'll go to court while Americans benefit and it buys time for Congress to get their **** together.

It's such a blatantly partisan political move that he knows is completely illegal. B@ffled eats it up.

So you supported Obama when he signed an XO giving folks $400/week unemployment after the Republican senate waited almost 2 months to negotiate a stimulus package and then gave up?

Everyone knows what's wrong with voter ID laws just like everyone knows there's little voter fraud that necessitates voter ID laws in the first place just like everyone knows that voting by mail is perfectly fine and has been for decades.

Voter ID laws disproportionately disenfranchise minority communities.
    https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/what-we-know-about-voter-id-laws/

Fraga and Miller found that black voters constituted 11.4 percent of those voting in Texas in 2016 with ID but 16.1 percent of those voting without ID, which shows clear evidence of a disparate racial impact. Likewise, Latino voters made up 19.8 percent of those voting with an ID but 20.7 percent of those voting without an ID. So even if voter ID laws haven’t swung election outcomes, they can deny thousands of people their right to vote — denials that fall disproportionately on black and Latino citizens. Whether voter ID laws swing elections is far from their only important consequence.

Those disparate impacts are clear from a second newly released study, too, which also used individual-level records to provide a more granular view of precisely who is affected by voter ID policies. In Michigan’s 2016 general election, voters who arrived at the polls without ID were able to vote after they signed an affidavit. Researchers Phoebe Henninger, Marc Meredith and Michael Morse collected these affidavits to identify a set of voters who would have been turned away under a stricter policy, like the laws in Georgia, Virginia and Wisconsin. By their calculation, about 28,000 voters — or 0.6 percent of 2016 Michigan voters — lacked photo identification.

Those 28,000 voters were more nonwhite and more Democratic than the Michigan electorate overall. Henninger and her co-authors estimated that nonwhite voters were between 2.5 and 6 times as likely as white voters to lack voter ID. And while Michigan doesn’t record partisan registration, the researchers’ model-based estimates suggest that more than 70 percent of those filing affidavits would be Democratic primary voters.

Bullshit. Complete bullshit. We need id for the gym, to work, to bank, to drive, to fish, to hunt, to fly and to make certain purchases, even prisoners have id cards but once its suggested to use an id to protect one of our most sacred fundamental rights its racist? Bullshit. Bullshit narrative and a ploy to directly miseducate potential voters and further falsify elections. Stop trying to dumb down society in order to pander to black people.

I'm dazzled by your research and data. Well done.

Here's another documented ploy by Republicans to disenfranchise minorities. Please feel free to respond with your common sense vulgarity filled diatribe.

Inside the Racist Republican Voter ID Sham in North Carolina

Do you know how you don't disenfranchise minority voters? You register all citizens to vote automatically and you provide them a free identification automatically. These are things that Republicans would never agree to because they don't want people to vote.

    This thread is hilarious.

It is like a guy with a really really ugly daughter posting tons of pictures of her in princess costumes looking hideous while everyone else grimaces and saying nothing... and thinking “Deep down he knows it is all a lie, right?”

Let's ignore actual court cases in which factual evidence is presented in which Republicans specifically targeted minorities in voter ID laws in favor of my short video to show me the REAL truth. Nicely done.

The cases you are referring to are litigating the application of voter id laws, not cases in which actual voter suppression has taken place.

It didn't actually take place in this case because the court determined a brazenly racist law created and passed by Republicans was illegal and an attempt at that myth called voter suppression.

But, we can always count on Texas to follow up.

A Court Strikes Down Texas's Voter ID Law For the Fifth Time

None of this is even discussing the sharp rise in purging of voters rolls in states no longer bound by the Voting Rights Act because of the 5-4 Supreme Court decision that decided oh well the South has changed. Then there's the wholesale narrowing of early voting dates and the closure of polling places in minority heavy districts. The rampant gerrymandering that continues to allow a minority of the voters to have a majority of the representatives.

You should really ask yourself why Republicans are afraid of letting every American cast a vote and making it easier for them to do so.
