They are probably salivating at the talent in return that the White Sox got for their veteran players.

And they know they will at least get a 1st round compensation pick if they keep him through his contract and can't resign him.

Can't blame them for trying to CA$H in on their silver bullet.

Since the Rangers are not a revenue sharing team, under the new CBA they will receive a compensation pick after the 2nd round.

Nobody has yet to sufficiently explain to me the logic behind MLB's rev-sharing formula(s). I've only asked like 2 people, but still.

At 49-51 for the season, Texas is reportedly looking to unload some big name starters (and contracts) in hopes of getting some pitching help.

They do realize that their offense is 3rd to last in the majors in BA (.238). But hey, pitching is at a almost record premium right now, so by all means, fill the top of your rotation with #4 and #3 guys (all thats out there, especially for a rental).

Must be bored with his team.

A reflection though of the team discipline, or lack of it, of the Rangers.

Rangers once again don't provide enough runs for Yu to win, lose 22-10. That's the real score

    Darvish's ERA over 4 now.

Considering Darvish hasn't been quite as good as in the past, Hamels has been pretty mediocre, Cashner walking as many as he strikes out, the bullpen implosion, Napoli's early struggles, Lucroy & Odor sucking balls, it is remarkable they are managing to stay around .500.

Darvish is 1-6 with a 5.03 ERA for his last 12 starts

    1-5 with a 3.96 ERA (3.39 xFIP) with 10.04 K/9, 1.84 BB/9 if you remove last night.

Whatever hope the Rangers had of cashing in Yu for great prospects has certainly been diminished. Good news for us.

While Rangers are toast no matter what, it would not surprise me to see fewer than 86 wins getting an AL Wild Card this year.
