Greg Smith has some awesome hands. He pretty much catches everything. He has good chemistry with both Harden & Lin.
He should be our starting PF going into the playoffs.

But we all know his Achilles heel. He can't stop fouling. He's got tomahawk chop defense. He got major footwork issue on defense. He bumps offensive player too much as he slides his feet.

I wish he could stay in the game as I've been very impressed with his low post game.

    Criteria MPG >= 15

Chuck Hayes in his rookie season was a far superior fouler.

    Not impressed.

Greg Smith plays defense the only way he knows how. HeGoesHardAlwaysEvenIfThatMeansFouling.

Smith can only learn through playing real games. He has showed full effort at both ends and he will get over it with time.

He gets fouled more often than he fouls.

Terrence Jones isn't much better at staying out of foul trouble. T Rob is a much better defender, but nobody wants to see how 6'6" is going up against 6'11" Lamarcus Aldridge.

I feel that D-Mo is a bigger foul machine.

Has any other team ever had 2 undrafted starters do so well?

Well the first summer McHale teaches you to foul. Then next he teaches you how to defend.

Where did you get that he is 6'6''? He is 6'7.75" without shoes, and 6'8.75" with shoes according to his predraft measurements. Source: draftexpress.com

    on a positive note...

It's not just Smith but all of our big guys have been committed to showing and stepping hard when defending the enemy's pick and roll, resulting in redirecting the ball handler. It's been happening since the clippers game.

commitment to excellence. Maybe the coaching staff knows they have tons of options for disposal that they can be more aggressive when it comes to defending the p&r.

Considering how the P&R is the main weapon for the cross dressing pgs** that jack 19 shots a game, I'm happy to see that we're finally guarding it appropriately.

**curry and Irving are exceptions since they have a holy phenomastic shot and range.

It just angers me that so many of his fouls are of the careless, stupid variety.
