Well, it really works! Indeed, my favorite president (Ike, at the moment) did nothing illegal!

I doubt he'll be doing any more lawyering in any case. He apparently hasn't done much in recent years, may well lose his license with a conviction, and who the hell would want representation from this shady guy at this point?

As for your concern about attorney-client privilege, it's like you missed the whole story arc on the court fight over the privilege and the appointment of a Special Master to discern which pieces of evidence have privilege and which ones don't. If you had lived through that, you'd have had a primer on how far privilege goes.

I haven't followed the story much. I came in this thread recently because of the story about the taped conversations on pay offs

LOL... cute... clinging to the conclusiveness of a taped conversation between trump and his lawyer of paying hush money about an affair. But you be you.

    Meanwhile...

The President knowingly and willingly authorized an illegal campaign contribution in excess of $25K. That is a felony.

On top of that it was to cover up an extramarital affair.

This is precisely what nuked John Edwards' career and sent the Republican Congress into a full blown moral panic in 2008.

Now we have the President claiming conspiracy and releasing fake transcripts in a pathetic and underhanded attempt to protect himself. This is exactly what Richard Nixon did before his career was also torpedoed by recordings of his impropriety.

Republicans, it's time to cut bait before this odious orange turd pulls your whole party down with him.

Mind you, Mueller's hammer is still waiting to drop. Get out before this goes completely sideways on you.

What campaign contribution? I remember Edwards getting the money from that old lady. Edwards wasnt a billionaire.

Im still not seeing where the trump money came from a contribution

And Edwards covered up a young girls pregnancy

I did forget Edwards's wife was dying

But in all seriousness that doesn't make his cheating worse and may make it more understandable

Yall are hoping and wishing this is connected to campaign financing. Dude funded his campaign. He clearly has $250K to try to shut someone up.

Why would they take the risk of shutting someone up with campaign contributions? Thst makes no sense.

You guys heard that loose media speculation about campaign finances and are running on ish thats almost completely made up

Trump is a lot of things. He isn't Bernie Madoff. His money is real. Some of yall really doubt that

You know what? This represents the problem with Trump criticism. I understand he isnt likable, that doesn't mean he would do something that stupid when there is no reason to

And it makes you stupid for believing he would out of disdain for his character

Michael Cohen created a shell company to funnel money on behalf of Donald Trump (who was a knowing and willing participant, thank you phone recordings) to a person in order to buy their silence regarding an extramarital affair two months prior to the Presidential election.

This is textbook campaign finance impropriety. Unreported monies spent by a candidate or surrogates of a candidate (in this case, both) to affect the outcome of an election. This is why these idiots are doing this brain cell destroying tap-dance about the meaning of the word "cash" or "check" and other such nonsense.

Don't tie your boat to the SS Trump. This is going to end badly.
