This play, and that said -- if Texans lose this game -- is immediately worthy of firing. We were up 24-0 basically going into the second quarter. To have a historic comeback in a quarter, coupled with those egregious BoB calls, warrants firing.
As I said in the game thread it was a negligent play that could possibly hand this game to the Chiefs. It's the type of call an incompetent coach calls in that situation.
We don’t go for it on a 4th and 1 close to a touchdown leading 21-0, but we do a fake punt in their territory when they’re gaining momentum????
No the Astros and Rockets have championships. This **** can't be acceptable by the football franchise in this town anymore. Has to be accountability for this type of ineptitude.
The kick return put life back into the chiefs team when they first scored, but this play was the nail in the coffin it looks like
At that point, the Chiefs offense wasn’t in command of anything. All they had done in the entire game was go 42 yards in two plays on the previous drive. The reward of getting it didn’t outweigh the risk of turning it over on downs inside your 40. It also was a good way to continue to build the momentum in the Chiefs favor if it failed, which is exactly what happened.
