Keenum has 536 plus yards passing. 5 tds. 76 attempts. He keeps throwing that much they'll need a reliever.
Not sure why some of you are so happy that UH lost. Nothing wrong at all with the UH alumns getting excited about their team...
True man...some of em sad...cuz they team prolly suck...unless ur a horns fan like me and wanna see em do good...ahh well...tough loss... But still...answer my question... HOW DO YOU GIVE UP 500 yards TO UTEP????????
I'm a UT alum and wanted UH to do as well as anyone, but tonight's shellacking was downright embarrassing.
At UH? Hell yes. they're prett much done now. Only big-time teams that can sustain a loss or two and remain in the MNC picture get heisman winners in that situation.
I'm not happy about this at all, just realistic. I enjoyed their win last week and the exuberance by UH alums on the forum. IMO, it was not the time for us realistic folks to bring things into perspective. Now is the time for that. UH was never a BCS contender because they don't have enough talent on defense, simple as that. Enjoy the great wins over OSU and TT and try to finish the season up strong after this humbling experience. I hope this loss doesn't turn into a long skid into oblivion for UH. BTW, how many times is the UTEP announcer going to say "Wow!"
Schadenfreude. There is nothing wrong with true UH fans getting excited. But it is amusing to see all the t-shirt fans jump right off the bandwagon again. Plus, I'm glad the sports talk in Houston will go back to the Texans/Rockets.
Had they run the table and Keenum continued to get his averages (now 435 total YPG, 4 TD's per game, and an 8:1 TD to INT ratio) then he'd have to be up there. It would almost definitely take a loss by one of the other more recognizable candidate's teams for him to actually win it, but there was a chance for sure.
Keenum played less than great but still put up gawdy numbers. Sadly the Heisman is a team award that is entirely bias towards BCS players. So he can kiss it goodbye. Won't stop him from getting the O'Brien and possibly being the 1st QB drafted though.
No but he played a helluva game against tech. And I'm not a UH alum, went to TCU, but I just don't understand why people are so happy to rip on UH after they lost.
The way they played today, UT, TCU, Aggie, Baylor, Tech all > Houston. Does Rice have a good running game? They might have a chance against UH this year after all haha.
tough loss. They may have taken UTEP lightly. Just because UT beat them down doesnt mean they are a horrible team. They do have some talent, they just couldnt match UT's physical superiority. Cougs have some great skill player talent but they really need to get some beef up front to take that next step. Regardless, they can still pull off a 10 win season and that is still impressive. I figured they would have a hickup here or there...UTEP was one of those. And people hating is just stupid. To have anger at people getting excited for a team who has not bee relevant for 20 years is just plain pathetic.
Because all the UH talk on sports radio by you know who was over the top. I'm glad they got knocked off tonight just to shut Jackson up.
