Because we thought that we needed the money to sign Romo.

Also, in light of today, remember that we drafted Devier Posey ahead of TY Hilton.

    Nope.

It was $10 million cash into McNair's pockets.

We had the cap space to sign Romo, but he wasn't going to play anyway.

No team has sold a draft pick other than the Texans.

I know hindsight is 20/20 but what would have happened if the Texans didn't trade Osweiler. We cut him but we would have a 2nd round pick at least. We would still be on the hook for the money, but who cares, Watt, Merciless, Watson got injured. This would be a wasted year anyways. At least we have a a high 2nd round pick and we can bite our teeth when Cleveland selects some future all-pro with our top 10 1st round pick. Now with this up coming draft, we will wait till the third round with our 1st pick. Some draft party it will be.
I am kind of sad for the season ticket holders who spent a fortune for tickets just to see the Texans become the next Cleveland Browns.

    Hindsight, nothing

At the time, everyone wanted the Texans to do something, anything to get that franchise QB, Swing and a miss big time. Credit for trying and blame for being con by smooth talker and nothing else guy. They fixed the mistake, that $10 million was potential for Romo and if you use hindsight and say he never would have came, you can’t have it both ways. He retired and even said he though about the Texans.

Now losing out on players, every teams does
that. Wish life is better but it is the cost of doing business.

Besides, this FO did get the real deal and credit when due.

    Getting Watson saved their bacon.

I understand that's how the Texans think.

But it's not how smart franchises operate.

Now with our 3rd round draft pick being our top draft pick, get ready for the next nix or Posey. Great draft picks by our beloved gm.

Yes, he has been. He's been throwing to the wrong team and he backs into the rush lanes vs stepping up.

    He's 31st/32 in QBR at 29.2.

Brock will start until Paxton is ready, Siemian is the #3. Expect them to look at QB in the draft.
