Tough schedule for us this year.

I still like the Over here.

DW gets more help from the line...continues to develop...great defense.

    10-6 @ minimum.

This will not be a popular post but here goes.

I'm going under with 7 wins and here's why. The offensive line did not get better and the Cornerback position got worse. Deshaun Watson got sacked 62 times and now we have a guy from Alabama State playing in his rookie year as his left tackle. The entire offensive line is a project and will not result in a substantial decrease in sacks. We lost our best DB in Kareem Jackson and replaced him with Roby who had his worst year last year. We are also playing against Brady, Brees, Rivers, Ryan, Luck twice, Mahomes, and Foles twice. Not exactly an easy schedule with our current Corners on the roster. On top of all this we have no GM which might explain the Clowney situation. You don't want to piss off your best defensive player before the season starts but alas that's what the Texans have chosen to do. The final reason why I believe we will only win 7 games is because our HC is BoB. A terrible head coach who has had the fortune of playing against the Jaguars, Titans, and Colts (with Luck hurt) twice a year.

I have us losing to Saints, Chargers, Panthers, Falcons, Chiefs, Colts twice, Ravens, Patriots.

This team just drains the will out of you to live.

Another season lost in the wilderness.

Too good to fire O'Dumbass, too bad to bother giving a crap.

Expected mediocrity from the most mediocre sports franchise in the city of Houston and the NFL.

Accordingly 8.5 is just about right.

It doesn't really matter because the Texans are going to sign Watson to an extension (after wasting his rookie contract years) and if the team plays poorly BOB will blame some other idiot in the organization.

This is really important. Last year, the only top-tier QB they beat was Luck in that crazy OT game where Indy was desperate for a win and threw away a tie. They didn't beat any top-tier QBs in 2017 either.

    Probably under.

I'm jealous of what the Browns did this offseason. Yes, you read that correctly. The Texans should have spent money on players to improve the team while Watson is still on his rookie deal.

He preemptively threw Gaines under the bus just to get it out of the way.

I totally agree with you, but I think it will be even worse. I’m thinking here comes another 2-14 season. How we didn’t spend any of our cap money still is beyond me.

Only wins I can really see are vs Tampa and maybe one Tennessee game.

Sure, I think we will do just enough to get into playoffs. Then we will get exposed and blown out due to the incompetent coaching of BOB.

we can go 11-5 or 12-4, and it still won't make me believe that BOB can lead us to the promise land

Just a brutal schedule on paper. Moreover, if the line's as bad as you say it will be, and I lean that way too, I don't think Deshaun goes all 16.

Really chimed in to ask though, if the Texans go 6-10, 7-9, is that enough to fire BoB? Or is Cal going to ride and die with BoB until this contract runs out?

Under. The Texans were super lucky last year with a much easier schedule. Now they have a much harder schedule and I'm not sure their offensive line is any better at all. If we get off to a bad start, then I would be ok with trading Clowney and tanking.

I could see BOB survive a 2-14 season by blaming the lack of a GM.
