They (the previous regime) did acquire some solid players on defense with Pro-Bowl potential. If the new front office for them can add a few solid veteran players on offense and use the picks acquired by the prior front office wisely, I think they'll be in good shape.
Yeah....both those Front offices missed the playoffs and are about to have roster upheavals. lol. Greatest, my ass.
another couple of pseudo situations that will test Gaine's loyalty right away, situation 1: * A highly graded Guard that's supposed to go in the top 10 falls and falls to the third round because his ex gf posted a video of him with a bong, wearing a darth vader mask and a f**K America shirt singing bruce springteen's "born in the usa" just an hour before the draft. O'brian likes said guard prospect because said guard can also play LT, RT, LG,RG and C and plus said guard once flirted with five tds in a game as a TE in the 10th grade. You mean to tell me Gaine will get that player for O'brian? I think Bob will put down his pimp cane and say, " No!,That train sailed a long time ago." eventually the loyalty will be with the mcnairs which is a good thing. o'brian has been all over the place wanting to run the 'week to week avocado ice cream offense'. o'brian has to be kept in check. he is erratic and impulsive. Teapot fits him well. With watson, o'brian showed he could put down his stubborn ways and run play action & zone. That's why I'm willing to give o'brian another shot. I'm skeptical he can change his late game management, what late game management? Some coaches like andy reed, Marty schottenheimer could never shake the plague. I'm hoping B.O.B does for the sake of our team. I will be waiting with eagerness if how we handle contracts from no talks during the season changes at all or if players not texans worthy are suddenly texans worthy. I think those can be two ways of telling if Gaine responds directly to the Mcnair family or billy.
SOOOOOoooooo What are our Expectations here? YEAR 1: YEAR 2: YEAR 3: YEAR 4: The Jags are a win from the Superbowl right? Would we have won the division with good health? Rocket River

As good as their defense is, they were still only 10-6. If Watson was healthy, Texans would probably had made the playoffs over the bills, Titans or jaguars, who finished the season at 9-7, 9-7, 10-6.
9-7, 9-7, 9-7, 4-12 ............ rinse and repeat with whatever coach or GM cons the McNair's into believing they are the solution. The good news is that Watson can join AJ and JJ Watt in the Texans Ring of Honor, representing Hall of Fame caliber players that are bitter that their careers were wasted by the Texans.
Will the owner show to answer questions about his process/decisions to not interview other candidates? O'Brien has to be scrambling to get coaches and get to Mobile. What if nobody shows? Who's "guy" is he then?
