I was loling at the idea BOB was the reason for Watson's success.

Lowering the difficulty curve of the playcalls for a rookie is not exactly rocket science or brilliant innovation.

The reason Watson succeeded wasn't because he was given more checkdown options, it was because the kid ran around and made plays on his own.

They also added play-action and mis-direction. For once, the defense didn't know exactly what was coming from Bill O'Brien.

Pretty sure every single coach in the league wants absolute control of their roster.

I think he would be let go (search for another job)

Why would he want to stay, especially to work for someone that beat him for his job

My guess is he's out. He was there to help Rick who was busy helping his sick wife.

Don't think there's need to keep him, especially since they're still paying Rick

Gaine = McNair's guy because they hate going outside the box/the specter of not feeling "comfortable" with a guy. They know Gaine -- he agrees to not shake things up = comfort.

Caserio would have been O'Brien's guy. They're best friends. He wasn't given a chance to interview.

Don't automatically buy the narratives being sold locally.

As per Brian (Chron) Raye was a Smith guy and Gaine was a Obrien Guy. So I assume Ray will be dismissed?

Is this you setting up excuses for BOB's failure to be used in the future? "I mean sure he's still a complete failure as a head coach, but he didn't get his guy as GM despite getting someone who rubber stamped everything he wanted to do."

I dunno if that will sell very well, but you guys managed to fool some people this long, so who knows?

He** then since Watson was the only reason the offense was good, McNair should fire the whole offensive staff and let Watson just run around out there doing his thing. I mean the Houston Watson's put up 35 pts per game with none of the coaching staff contributing anything.

Yeah pretty much, Imagine how much better it would have been with a competent O line and a competent coaching staff.

Maybe They will not sign Brian Gaine (no-one has officially announced the signing (just maybe they will wait for other candidates to interview) doubt we are that lucky, but theres hope until they announce the signing
