Well I guess in a sense he really is a lesser Dwight.

    They're both trash heaps.

Jones can easily replace CP3 at PG

Well, Qi was waived, Melo is not with the team, and Chriss is only playing in garbage time. That is 3 Power Forwards from the season opening roster currently not getting playing time at all. If the Rockets don't make a trade soon well, just making the playoffs looks tough at this moment, the trade deadline in February might be too late just to get into the playoffs If the Rockets continue their poor record when CP3 is not playing. Even if Rockets take a look a Jones it would be just to come off the bench and play with energy as a back up PF, not as a starter or a point guard. Might not be bad for them to see if he can contribute given that Tucker is the only PF getting regular playing time. House has done well coming in from the G league.
The Rockets struggle badly rebounding against most teams. Rockets still need Knight or some other point guard to step in when CP3 can't take the floor on initiate the offense for their teammates when Harden is getting a breather.

He still moves deceptively slow. Not an NBA type player, but he's good where he's at.

Honestly tho, what could he do in MDAs offense?

Lol I mean he was trash and probably still is, but he provides that boris diaw light type role of facilitating out of the PnR

    TL;DR

There are hundreds of better options out there. Terrence Jones will not be an NBA player ever again.

Short version. Rockets need another true power forward that can rebound and come off the bench to spell Tucker. Like House as SF and he is doing well. Hoping they are looking at Jones or other players to acquire very soon that Morey feels can contribute and MDA will play and not wait till the trade deadline.

Jones is not a true PF. He's a true towel boy.

It’s nuts under 4 years someone can go from playoff minutes to out of this league not due to age or health.

This guy seriously was the softest 6-9 player I’ve ever seen. Someone said he’d be a solid “Rebounder” off the bench? He couldn’t rebound shxx when he was here before. Missed more layups than anybody I’ve ever seen. Lock this crap up
