Phh, he didn't even dunk over Durant in the playoffs.

McGrady really was the '00s Kevin Durant, if you exclude the career-altering spine condition of course. Both had insane quickness and body control for their height, both were unstoppable scorers in their primes, both at one point were the best player for a full regular season (02-03 for T-Mac, 13-14 and 16-17 for KD), and yet while they arguably had the physical talent to be all time greats, their games never did fully round out, and they were both better suited as #2 options next to someone with actual leadership qualities.

I can see the comparison. Mac was more aggressive around the rim whereas Durant has a better outside shot, but similar length and mannerisms for sure.

Tmac brought us the same amount of playoff series victories as Steve
Except he also brought us a cult of Lin like fans as well

    Poor Yao Ming

What could have been with that 05 team...we would have won it all if Juwan Howard was healthy in the playoffs.

This was Yao’s 3rd season in the league? Agreed he’d have trouble in today’s NBA, but he was far from his defensive peak here.

I remember his introduction presser with lue and Howard plus the enormous crowd gathered like it was yesterday. Man his first season MAC was a beast but the way he b**** and moaned was kind of souring .

I forget how good TMac was at times. Too bad he never applied himself when it counted. Too bad he couldn't trust his teammates enough to make them better too. Too bad about the injuries. Too bad about him quitting on us.

Basically TMac was too bad. #TBad
