The Clippers were a joke franchise with no fans or even an arena of their own. The whole media is pro Lakers and set against them. There are other new owners who are also billionaires but noone has done a better job than him and so soon. He found and hired the right people. Scouted others like Jenkings. And didnt meddle with bball decisions. Didnt leak info to the press. Didnt put his children, nephews in important positions. Thats already more than every other new owner in the league. Better than the Rockets, Kings, Atlantas, Phillys, Milwaukees. So basically every other new owner has done mistakes or took much more painful time to learn how to own a team. I wont include BKNs because the base for their success were put under previous ownership.

Having a good well respected GM matters to get deals done. Jerry West low key just gets things done behind the scenes none of that Morey public BS like "we are favorites to land Butler, "we are favorites to finish top in the West"
