    Very cool, but the article mentions there have been other female assistants. This is the first full-time hiring.

    Very cool. Pops pushing the envelope again. International players, Messina, and now Becky Hammon. And given that he's Pop nobody is going to think that this is gimmick.

    If Pops says she's good, who are we to argue?

    Another European on the Spurs :rolleyes:. I guess she's a good fit on a team that likes to share the ball with her being a communist and all.

    She only played for Russia because the US Team was stacked and she could make more money playing for Russia via her professional contact in that country.

    Hope she does well and that Tony Parker doesn't treat her like Brent Barry's wife.

    Why not they have enough men coaches in the WNBA. Not that it matters but Hammond will probably be the smartest ass't Pop has.

    Pop has been saying for years that he expected her to have an NBA coaching career. Kudos to him for not just saying it, but making it so.

    she's not Russian ....American with Russian citizenship because of basketball
