Someone clue me in...what is with all the buzz about Lue? I'm not pro or con on him...he just seems to get an awful lot of hype and buzz for someone who hasn't really done anything?
They have had multiple opportunities to improve the roster at the expense of nothing but money - They have not taken advantage of a single one , in fact they have given up assets to avoid spending. They are contending …. but they could be better.
Lue is at the top of the list of guys any team in the league would interview should a head coaching position open up. Water is wet. The Rockets are chasing Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021.

They missed out on several assistant coaches that didn’t want to deal with the uncertainty around MDA or the pay amounts the Rockets were offering. If you don’t think that will effect the performance next year, you are crazy.
I dont lol. This is a vet team...so what exact these coaches gonna show harden or Westbrook or tucker or hordon that they already dont know. We have a system. Harden or Westbrook dribble dribble kick to shooters. That not gonna change until morey leaves. Every time we always on this site saying mda dont even coach. Now all of a sudden they was coaching lmao. To be honest unless it's high profile coaches lue mark jvg all.the other guys are a waste of money since this team is star laden. LeBron liked him more than David Blatt and carried the Cavs ring for him. That's pretty much it. Back when Lue was an up-and-coming assistant, he was seen as a defensive mastermind. The Cavs' defense was mostly crap during his tenure, and their non-LeBron lineups routinely got smoked. I have no idea why we'd want him, unless it's because Tillman or his dumbass son want a coach with a ring.
WTF Lue is like garbage version of MDA, all the downsides (no Xs and Os, no balls to hold players accountable) and none of MDA's upsides (offensive system genius). Lue may turn out to be a good coach 5 yrs from now, but right now he is too dumb to be a head coach in Cleveland he let Lebron do all the coaching why tf is he the front runner? WTF!
The only reason Lebron liked him is cuz Lue is signed with his agency LMAO and Lebron is too arrogant he thinks coaches are useless he is the coach of all his teams. IMO being an assistant if a lot easier than being the head coach a lot of great assistants turn into horrible head coaches because they are not ready yet. Mike brown for example is a great assistant but as a head coach he looked like he didn't know wtf he was doing.
Nope, with the Rockets losing their defensive coaches they could use someone else that was elite at coaching the defense and that didn’t happen and will make a big difference.
I don’t think he is terrible but I don’t think he is especially good either. He has lots of experience but isn’t terribly innovative or great at game planning. I also worry about his ability to adapt his defensive style to fit our offense and size issues. For as good as our offense is and MDA’s ability to put up odd line ups that work offensively... it does cause issues defensively due to size and also effort. So the person running the defense needs to be able to be innovative.
Not a big fan of MDA but really Lue is their only option? What's up with the scarcity of coaches these days as only a couple names get floated around the entire league?
James has been in the league long enough for people to make the bogus argument man haha. Obviously its not true, but when people dont win championships, that doesnt mean they cant get you there or they are bad at their job. Thinking Lue>MDA is crazy since Lue really only has experience coaching Lebron and 2 other all stars.
