    Or... Title is barely mentioned.

The most obvious examples are Classical, Jazz, and instrumentals.. but those genres lack words to begin with.

I can conjure many examples from many genres with many lyrics.

    ZERO mentions - Rap

    ONCE - Hippie guitar ****

THREE times but you barely notice - R&B

Barely mentioned because you have to get to the very last line of the lyrics to hear: Just Like Heaven.

prince says 'the beautiful ones" in the lyrics...

great song though - only one i can think off off purple rain is darling nikki - although the words "darling" and "nikki" are both in the lyrics, he doesnt sing them together.

lots of tunes off the cure album disintegration have titles that are not in the lyrics...

    actually, 7 of the 12..

    plainsong
    closedown
    love song
    lullaby
    disintegration
    homesick
    untitled

not using song title in lyrics...that is goth as f***.

i love new order and this is why i can never keep the songs straight - the titles are not usually part of the lyrics. ive been listening to technique for 30 years and i still dont know all of the song names!

Songs with no lyrics at all seem like a copout. I could basically list every good jazz album ever. Also Out of Limits, Telestar and Rumble which are all awesome lyricless songs. Plus every album by the Meters.

Just browsing through my music this is the first one I came across, and it is from way out in left field - The Cowsills - The Rain, The Park and Other Things. The real life inspiration for the Partridge Family. If you have to ask what a Partridge Family is, it's probably not worth the effort.

Whomever mentioned the pink floyd songs there are like 30 more you could add to the list. Here is Syd Barretts final song with the band, Jugband Blues:
