[Shams] Westbrook trying to pull Rockets together, Rockets looking for wing help

Confirmed that Russ got a call from CP3 last night : just be careful.

 

Though there are facets of Westbrooks game that I really cringe at he is really a guy that its hard to get
down on. He wants to win and just pushes every moment he can.

My hope was that when Harden has his inevitable periods of disinterest (perceived) that Westbrook can
be that fire. That should keep Harden fresher for the playoffs and also more rested to take over in late
game situations when things slow down.

They're such different players that are learning to play together and could be magical if we hit on all
strides. They do give us a puncher's chance to take anyone out though they have periods that make you
sick.

You see why Paul George re-upped with him. Both Paul and Harden are quieter, to themselves type leaders
and Westbrook is just an energizer bunny of energy and pump and seems to really care every single time,
sometimes so much so that is causes problems.

Its definitely an experiment that could be golden with Gordon, Tucker House and McLemore shooting well and
Capela finishing. Another wing player with some length, defensive capacity and ability to space the floor would
be a god-send.

 

If only the Rockets could have managed to keep Harden + CP3 AND add Westbrook to the team.

The trio would have destroyed any defenses with the relentless attacking of the rim.

 

Where would we be without Westbrook? My how times have changed, lol.

Watch the last minute of tonight's game. I had to pinch myself to believe what I was seeing.

 

I watched last night's game but damn near turned it off in the 3rd quarter. Playing down to the competition, getting outhustled on one play after another. I'm not going to watch a team that seems to care less about winning than I do.

Then Russ took over and showed the way and bucked me up.

I hated the Westbrook trade, and I hate the indifference of this Rockets team. But I'd be delighted if #1 solved #2.

 

Never underestimate the power of bored, pathetic people doubling down to make themselves feel better.

 

If he pulls the rockets to the #1 seed then he should win MVP

 

Westbrook’s personality will overshadow Harden.

I’m not convinced this isn’t this issue with Harden right now.

 

I love Harden but he definitely doesn't lead by example. His defense, lazy effort without the ball clearly shows this. It's no surprise the most complete Harden was when CP was here and was leading and holding everyone including James accountable on both ends. 17-18 was Hardens beat year by far.

 

And I can sell him my book.

 

Westbrook is just crazy enough for all of this to work.

 

Well, even if that is true, they'd ride this thing out till the end, or near end. Barring anyone of the WB/JH combo willingly leaving.
