Yeah. Because Trump is so clean!

Funny to see Julian Assange tweeting this. Don't know why he became such a stooge for Russia.

Anyway, we'll see how this unfolds. If nothing else Trump will be glad for another distraction from his own problems and will use this as a "if I'm going down, guess who's going with me!" story.

This had been brought up summer of 2016 and I question the timing of this now. Pardon me if I'm skeptical of Julian Assaunge but I think there has been enough shown from him that shows he isn't the honest crusader that he presents himself to be.

Yeah, we can't have our presidents colluding with Russia like this.

    Time will tell.

    delete...

Assange involvement = antenna up for more valid (and more complete) sources investigating this.

Not denying possibilities, just waiting for more.

So does everyone agree that Putin and Russia was purposely and strategically meddling in the activities of the USA to undermine and jeopardize US security? I am asking because for a year I have heard some on the right claim that Putin and Russia did not attempt to undermine US elections and that Russia is not a threat to the USA and that Russia is not engaged in a form of Cold War with the USA.

You cannot have it both ways, which is it?

I went ahead and read the article and it does sound like the FBI failed to inform Congress and the public regarding the extent of Mikerin's activities. I will agree that is something that problably should be looked at.

I think this has less to do with strategic advantage, for US or Russia, and more to do with enriching an ogliarch.

Ehh.... I think there is more to it than that.

Putin plays the long game, I am sure this is just one step of many.

The problem we are going to start running into is that politicians on both sides are going to not want to investigate this, because they can end up entangled in it too.

There is plenty of evidnece to show that their releases were timed to do maximum damage to Clinton and also has been shown to have come from Russian hackers. Further many of them appear to be very selective. Just because individual documents may be true doesnt mean they paint a complete picture.

can you give an example of when this 'incomplete picture' scenario occurred with Wikileaks?

Possibly yes. Many have been saying this hurts the US strategically but I haven't really seen that.Uranium is valuable but even if the US gave up all of its uranium it still has enough nukes to wipe out the world. This seems more about making money than weakening the US.
