Yeah, no different. Not saying there is a difference at all. Only difference is we might not want Isaiah to sign the required tender (vs stashing), whereas Morey would faint if Llull signed one. What I'm asking is whether the required tender makes any difference, in terms of can the player sign it and force their way onto the roster, even though they need FIBA clearance and a buyout. Or can a team refuse to pay the buyout and still maintain draft rights.

Probably no big deal, as long as we are fine signing him to a minimum contract and risking Arenas Rule poison pills, later. But otherwise, stashing is safer in that regard. I certainly don't want to use part of the MLE on him, if it hampers Melton and Melo signings.

Hartenstein could be a young piece that the Cavs would accept in a trade for Love.

Hopefully Melo will agree to take less than the full MLE to leave money for Melton. Probably unlikely that Hartenstein gets a piece of the MLE.

Putting pressure on Clint Capella - "we can find a replacement for you. Not as good, but can play a similar role."

Except we won't give him what he's demanding and it's very possible he walks next year.

Sure, quite possibly into a contract much closer to what he wants. Hartenstein hardly looks ready for 3rd string center minutes at this point -- he is not someone Clint or his agent would perceive as a threat, is my point.

Lmao if Clint watched more than 2 plays where Hartenstein got switched on to guards he’s probably laughing hard as hell saying go ahead... no way we can play Hartenstein in our current switch everything system

I'd include VE and Nanu in trade to move Ryno to Sac if possible.

He was our second round pick last year. He played in summer league last year. He played in summer league this year. If you're a big enough fan to be on this board you ought to know who he is.

I hope D'antoni gives him and some of our rooks plenty of playtime before the trade deadline, maybe we can package them for Jimmy Butler.

Those 2 don't look promising. And Ryno... Sac might do it.
