Watching them play I can't help but say that it just looks better better without Harden. Im not saying its necessarily more successful in the end. But it finally feels as if I can identify myself with this kind of basketball. Ball movement, transition, everyone touches the ball. No slow dribbling and stepback 3s. No 10 missed 3s in a row.
I love James Harden but he needs to look at this style and finally adept...!

Ball movement is much better when Harden is playing the two-guard instead of point forward. When Harden runs the point our players tend to stand around watching with very little ball movement. Since Westbrook isn’t a good shooter it makes more sense to have him running the team to utilize his strengths. His strength is definitely NOT standing in a corner and jacking up 3’s. Now, we all know Harden can get to the lane and dish, but I’d rather have Harden in the wing as a scorer/shooter/slasher than a guy like Westbrook that struggles from beyond the arc. However, when you really need a bucket it’s critical to have a guy like Harden that can score and create his own shot.

The only good basketball is winning basketball. Who cares what you "identify" with?

We still need the production, but we do play better as a team.

He has a +6.5 on/off rating, good luck arguing this point.

While you're at it, you can throw in the world is flat, the climate is not getting warmer, and Donald John Trump never met Lev Parnas.

Would you prefer if the rockets played a brand of basketball that "looks better" but performs worse? Would you rather watch the team play like this if it means the team wins less games?

there are probably people who prefer the 40 win Rick Adelman squads that couldn’t make the playoffs over the Harden era...the cluelessness on here will never cease

    I tell you this guys:
Id rather watch the Rockets actually play Basketball, share the ball, run plays, play 10-11 players a game, develop young guys like Hartenstein, get everyone involved and in a rhythm and maybe a 1st round exit

    instead of
Harden getting 40ppg, dribble dribble step back 3, 10 3s missed in a row and keep shooting, no one getting in a rythem, players declining because no one has confidence anymore, Harden either doing 1vs1 or standing at the middle line watching...result 2nd round exit (because his 1vs1 doesn't work in the playoffs anymore.

    No

The rockets play better without a hurt slumping harden fighting through it missing 3s

This is a first round exit team without him. Maybe not even a playoff team

And quite frankly not having a go to harden late is glaring in every game he misses. 4th quarter panic slump every time

LMAO, so you’d prefer missing the playoffs or maybe sneaking in as the 8th seed to get stomped over 2nd round and possible WCF appearances

the sh*t people say on here is just mind boggling

I can't watch today's game due to NBAtv, preemption, but Im glad to hear despite trailing in the 4th to a team we blew out 3 days ago....we at least "play better". Moral victory > actual victory
