His Full Metal Jacket opening scene was some of the most riveting cinema ever put on screen.

He basically ad-libbed his entire dialogue in that movie.

RIP Lee. He's a close friend of my dad and my dad said he use to babysit me in the Philippines.

Met him during a book signing on Guam and he remembered my dad. Good man.

"How tall are you, Private? 5'7"? I didn't know they stacked $hit that high".

So many quotes in the first 30 mins of Full Metal Jacket. Loved his work. RIP Gunny.

Loved his characters and how he embraced it all with a good sense of humor. Him being coach in Saving Silverman is amazing.
