I don't want to see the Spurs get him. They will absolutely kill us with their ball movement and playmaking. I'm telling you if they can dump LaMarcus for him and then create cap to go after Millsap or possibly Blake without losing Green, or any of the restricted guys, they would be a monster again and will continue vying with the Warriors for preeminence. On top of that they're after Bell as well and may be able to trade up enough to get him.

I hope minny doesn't bite on LaMarcus.

Wolves have been looking to dump Rubio for years because he's bad at basketball. So of course they've been pushing his name into trade talks. Non-story.

Strong words from someone whose track record is almost comical when it comes to predictions. Its like you try to go on record with the opposite of the way things end up working out.

Popovich sold his soul to the dark lord eons ago. It's how you get a #1 pick with David Robinson on your team. It's how that #1 becomes arguably the best player to ever play the game (i don't think so but it's not crazy to say). It's how you find perennial all stars in the 2nd round in France and Argentina and 2 way superstars at #16. As long as that motherf*cker is on the bench i don't count them out of anything.

Time for Morey to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Could be related? MIN offers #7 for Bulter, but CHI wants more. JR posted the news in the Butler thread

You want to be the team that doesn't DRAFT a Rubio, not the team that has to TRADE to not have a Rubio.

That's why being successful at the draft has such high upside. A whole pool of not Rubio on cheap rookie deals

I think Rubio can be a valuable player with the right team. He definitely brings other things to the table. I mean even Marcus Smart with his career 35.7% has a damn job in the NBA... Shooting skills are clearly more important nowadays but defense, rebounding, passing, bball IQ also matter quite a bit.. In the right fit Rubio could be a really solid starter.

The disdain for holic and Rubio is so strong that this went virtually unnoticed.

I can already predict that around the deadline rumors about him being shopped will surface...again.

Rubio has talent for sure, but he is a PG of the old era. Nowadays, guards HAVE to be able to shoot. If they can't shoot, they have to be able to finish. Rubio can do neither.

They just traded Dunn, so they don't have much of a choice at this point.
