To be fair, Lance is the only alum that would likely have that kind of pull.

It may be TAPPS, but they play local public schools, it's not like football.

As soon as I saw the "former player". I instantly put in "Berkman". He's coaching a successful program and has a state title to at least point to. I wouldn't put my college's marquee athletic program in the hands of a relative neophyte, but you know they want to make a "splash" hire and Lance is still a name.

Graham has the rep in college baseball as being a huge ass. I play golf with a few former players and it’s a mutual feeling about him.

I'm very aware of their baseball program. I used to be part of it. I've seen them play 5-6 times every year recently, until they flaked out of the Highland Lakes Tournament a couple of years ago. I guess they couldn't get their **** comped at Horseshoe Bay, like the baptist chislers they are.

You're right, that was out of line.

I only went to school there for 12 years, I have no frame of reference.

Accuracy and class are mutually exclusive.

    I acknowledged that.

For a multi-million dollar church/school, they sure begged around for free stuff at the resort and didn't spend any money in town. That's what the locals said, at least. But whatever, it doesn't matter. Maybe Berkman works harder as a coach than he did as a player?

Hope so. I also kinda hope there's more to the story...? Common as it is, it's still never fun when one's favorite athletes turn out to be pricks IRL.

To be fair, Clyde did jump start recruiting there (Gee Gervin, George Williams, Bernard Smith were all considered coups...and the very recently deceased Alton Ford).

Also, to say that Berkman doesn't have any qualifications is silly. He was a (just behind the) borderline Hall of Fame baseball player. Doesn't change that he's an ******* and what he's doing is just wrong.

Nah...I don’t have a problem with your comment at all. I just stated something that someone else said almost to the T. That’s why I deleted it.

Because throwing rice kills owls, they really should be forced to switch their name.

wondering if Chris Rupp will go out for that job (an assistant on that 2003 team) although I think the game has passed him by as well.
