I tend to agree with this. Em has a better flow, more style with his delivery, and is more creative.. but he basically just bragged about being more successful. The overreaction from posters in Em's favor is mostly just his fans supporting him. One poster even said MGK appeared to be a "fake tough guy." The chances of that guy saying that to MGK's face are slimmer than MGK ever being more successful than Em.
One of these guys made a dry speech about their status, the other made a movie about their status. You must fundamentally misunderstand this game to think that the subject matter defines its effectiveness. "Stan, Stan, son..." >> without having to ramble on, in one sentence he tells a very very long story that strikes hard. Named after a gun, wears a man bun >> MGK has to wear that thing on his head while people are crying of laughter about it. Now he cuts it off in humiliation, or he plays it confident and no one buys it. That's check. "Now I gotta **** back, aim Yeah, b****, pop Champagne to this! (pop) It's your moment This is it, as big as you're gonna get, so enjoy it Had to give you a career to destroy it" >> this is a characteristic of god, and he doesn't just yell it, he makes it a hard, current reality while he raps it. This was the killshot. Not Eminem's best work, and MGK did an admirable job, but this was no contest. I didn't think Eminem still had it in him. I didn't think this many people were still interested in this genre of music.
I am not a fan of mumble rap. I think its kind of dumb, but who are we to judge. Plenty of people thought rap is dumb. Eminem is just coming off as get off my lawn guy. Let people like what they what they want to like. Also Eminem was responsible for this:
The first guy just isn't pleasurable to listen too. I have no idea what he was actually saying, because I couldn't get by the fact that the guy shouldn't be "singing" in any way cause he has a horrible voice. I mean, I could put out a track singing and it doesn't matter what the words were, it would be horrible, because I can't sing, in any style. I'm not saying Eminem is Freddie Mercury or anything voice wise, but it at least comes off as listenable in terms of pitch and tone to the ears.
Yup, I agree here. I liked MGK's diss, thought it was pretty good. But then Em came with the killshot and ended it. Entertaining all the way around.
Lol... Eminem has a terrible voice, pitch-wise. He's always sounded high-pitched and whiny to me. But I'm able to put that opinion aside and recognize the talent, and "have an idea of what he's actually saying".. Lol. MGK spoke clearly and executed a good diss.
It is somewhat personal. It started back in 2014 I believe, MGK made a comment about Em's daughter, who was 16 at the time. Basically saying she was hot.
Hard to believe that Mariah Carey is the only person to really crush Eminem in one of these battles - though her's was was hit song/ video.
Which song was this? Did Eminem ever have beef with anyone black? Damn. Underage is off limits, unless both parties are underage - which MGK was not.
Well... we all know a man's greatest downfall Mariah looking good in that video too. Lovely pose with her ready for doggy
Eminem doesn't have a great pure singing voice. I find it a heck of a lot better than this other dude, as I noted in this thread already. I was just responding to the conversation I was having with someone. Keep up!!!
