And trump's (admin's) list of top secret evil Russian oligarchs that he isn't sanctioning? No wonder Joe Walsh said Putin and Russia is laughing at us... The US Treasury's 'oligarch list' is strikingly similar to Forbes’ richest Russians ranking https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/30/us-...milar-to-forbes-richest-russians-ranking.html
At least the lists have sources (though they should have cited the sources at least)... comment on the home country's presidential administration list also released late last night.
Hahahaha! Score another one for Putie. Even reinforces a lot of right wing US talking points. Maybe they can make our elections more like Russia's. Just jail, or kill, opposition candidates and then stuff the ballot box to make sure. Nice country! Da!
Well, at least you have to give the guy credit for admitting that it was simply the Russian Forbes list. Then you laugh about how trump's admin approached the entire sanctions issue. But keep in mind they rushed these two lists out at 11:45pm since there was a midnight deadline to produce lists else they would be in violation of law. So they copied the Forbes and Kremlin admin lists: Trump Administration Admits It Cribbed Forbes Magazine To Create “Oligarch List” https://www.buzzfeed.com/johnhudson...es-magazine-to?utm_term=.wqDXgg5Ex#.gcQ7AAa1X
Meanwhile, as 45 ignores bipartisan demands for sanctions... Oh gee, Putie w new missile deployments for a fracturing Europe... https://www.cbsnews.com/news/russia...ngrad-threat-europe-lithuania-vladimir-putin/
This is also exciting! A key U.S. nuclear weapons document confirms that the Russian government is developing the most powerful nuclear weapon in more than a half century. A leaked copy of the Pentagon’s Nuclear Posture Review states that Russia is developing a “new intercontinental, nuclear-armed undersea autonomous torpedo.”... Kanyon is designed to attack coastal areas, destroying cities, naval bases, and ports. The mega-bomb would also generate an artificial tsunami that would surge inland, spreading radioactive contamination with the advancing water. To make matters worse there are reports the warhead is “salted” with the radioactive isotope Cobalt-60. Contaminated areas would be off-limits to humanity for up to 100 years. https://www.popularmechanics.com/mi...nfirms-existence-of-russian-doomsday-torpedo/ Not exactly Trump-related, but yet another data-point in the "Why the **** are we not sanctioning the ever-loving-**** out of these guys?" conundrum.
https://www.politico.com/story/2018/02/18/trump-twitter-mueller-fbi-russia-scandal-416858 After Mueller's indictment against 13 Russian persons and 3 Russian entities for their efforts to interfere in the 2016 election and aid Trump’s campaign, Trump attacks everyone but Russia Trump railed against the investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election Saturday night into Sunday, sending off a stream of tweets attacking the FBI, CNN, the Democratic Party, his own national security adviser, former President Barack Obama and the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee. He did not criticize Russia, or voice concern over Vladimir Putin's attempts to undermine U.S. elections. The Twitter tirade was notably absent of any calls to action in addressing Russian interference. That absence drew swift criticism, as did Trump’s seeming inability to focus on the meaning of the allegations beyond himself and his own campaign. “Above all this rhetoric here, we begin losing sight of what is it we’re going to do about the threat of the Russians,” former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said in an interview on CNN. “He never talks about that. It’s all about himself.” in view of this, Rep Adam Schiff said, “This is a president who claims vindication anytime someone sneezes, and why the White House has refused to implement sanctions that Congress passed by huge majorities to punish Russia. It is inexplicable that the president of the United States continues to sit on sanctions that Congress passed, that Congress wants enforced against Russia over this interference,”
Looks like Putin has a few more Idiots at Work... Oh, btw, that "German bank" that he doesn't see a "nexus"...
I don’t have any problems with the Republicans on either committee saying that investigating Trumps finances are in Mueller’s purview honestly. However they really should have more defined parameters for which they are essentially finding out whether or not laws need to be changed to protect future elections. This would not only prevent “fishing expenditions” but would also help prevent Nunes abuses for political grand standing. But in the end it’s Paul Ryan who enforces these types of things and if he won’t oversee these investigations with any sort of backbone and authority they are probably going nowhere fast. I think we’ve all known for a long time that it’s Muellers investigation now unless the Dems take back the House. In the first week of Speaker Pelosi’s tenure I think you’d see not only the Russia investigation have defined outcomes laid out, but you’d also get a serious lock down on Trumps abuses of using the power of the presidency for financial gain with an emoluments investigation with public hearings.
