The lack of self awareness is staggering. More evidence that clown shoes is on the spectrum.

It's may become "logical" (to them) if you start using some status related to the citizens as for letting them rot. How much they paid in taxes? Are they "D" or "R" or "I"? What they look like, their age, where they have resided... so on.

Trump: We're a ten in Puerto Rico
Mayor: Yeah, ten out of a hundred.

It has nothing to do with reading comprehension.

It's just we disagree with your **** premises especially when you back your crap premises with only platitudes and normative statements.

The small company is owned by a guy who gave a lot of money to Trump.

His supporters, including most "libertarians" who reliably vote GOP lol, call it "draining the swamp" and fighting "corporate welfare/cronyism" which is a term they started to use a few years ago to hide their near total dedication to have the elected poiticians pay back their billionaire campaign contributors. To be fair, the corporate Dems of the Clinton-Obama years are similarly though somewhat less beholden to the folks who have many millions or billions..

As long as it's not a Democrat, it's called trickle down and wealth creation.

This is because of some Americans inability to grasp how big the government is and how it will ultimately choose "winners" and "losers". Conservative PR spin artists like to reframe it in terms of "individual fairness" or like in the debt ceiliing "my neighbor wouldn't be able to create that much debt!" where stories and symbolism ring truer and are underpinned with Econ 101 principles.

We have to acknowledge how big the government truly is and accept some failures in order to rein in on the massive wasteful spending happening in places like healthcare and defense. All these simple folk bullshit stories get these crooks elected, but a swamp is a swamp is a swamp.

FEMA cites ‘significant concerns’ over Whitefish Energy deal in Puerto Rico

Rep. Rob Bishop (R-Utah), chairman of the House Committee on Natural Resources, and Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.), chair of the subcommittee on oversight and investigations, wrote a letter directing the head of Puerto Rico’s public utility system to retain all records surrounding the hiring of Whitefish Energy and turn over documents to Congress.
