A slightly younger Iggy lite with a lot more responsibility on defense. He defends multiple positions, and provides us with additional scoring from time to time. His absence is hurting us. Recovering from two shoulder dislocations is no joke.
But in fairness it also has gotten us to where we are today. 2-2 against arguably the most talented team ever assembled. And really that narrative is way overblown. If it were true why would Morey trade for one of the most prolific mid range shooters?
There should be an expiration date on the numbers of some players. We almost picked up prime contact Nene,Bosh, or gasol based off peak year starts. There's also the Houston penalty where we had to overpay because of market conditions and no one on the A list wanted to come here before James got his playmaker rep. It was real big when Dwight chose us. He wasn't peak Dwight, but who was the next best choice?
There is a huge difference between Chris Paul and Ryan Anderson. I was concerned with Ryan's contract from day 1, as were many others on the board.
I referencing your statement about “Over reliance on stats and analytics” There’s no correlation between that and his contract. Not defending the move I just don’t think it’s why he was overpaid.
Too many excuses...We played a 7 man rotation last night. Come on now...Give some credit to Rockets for pulling that game out.
How many Gluc Mguys do you need? Seriously though calling Iguodala a "glue guy" is like saying Matt Maloney held the 97 Rockets together.
Sigh... if you want to blame someone, blame Les Alexander. Morey was told to spend the money or someone else would spend the money for Alexander.
The Warriors are not as good without Iggy. Defensively he has done an exceptional job defending Harden and at times Paul. The reality is that neither shots when defended by Iggy. Do the Warriors lose game 4 at home with Iggy? No way to know... but I don’t care. The Warriors won their first title against a Cavs team without Love or Kyrie. Iggy and Klay are questionable for game 5... if either of them are out, it can shift the series.
I mean it’s all hypothetical, we can play that game all day. Morley has been really good at moving bad contracts. I still have no idea how he got rid of Tracy’s albatross contract
Those moves, Ryno and Gordon, were made to rehab Houston’s image. If you recall, we were a terrible destination post Dwight because of the horrible reputation and locker room. I’m fine w Anderson, he signed in Houston when no one would and helped to turn the franchise rep around.
Glue guy... We played 7 players in game 4, 7 freaking players, our bench has been bad throughout the series and they still giving GSW excuses, smdh
This is why I like being on TNT, despite some Kenny nonsense and Shan’s shtick they all have made solid points and given us credit!
Those ex-players are getting annoyed for the lack of critisism worriers get. Just like Harden said "they aint even that good" and they know it. GSW is all-time as a team but individualy not so much except for Durant
