Yeah but Philippines is a 3rd world country so they aren't poor in fact they are multi-millionaires in the Philippines. I dont know about Australia but the Gilas players are the cream of the crop in the Philippines, almost all of them have max deals with their teams in the PBA.

Watch the Aussie bench all the coaches were holding back our players or else it could have been deadly.
