You'd almost have to make that offer if you're the Browns. Yes, they have some talent...but the stink of loserdom over that place is permanent. To get someone who is in demand to coach there is going to cost the Browns.

Every successful organization has structure and people at the top who are aligned in what they want and expect for the franchise.

It all starts at the top. Hiring Caserio would be a major addition to this organization.

For all of us who want the Texans to contend every year and be contenders every year a huge step in that direction would be adding Caserio to this franchise.

We can go back and forth amongst each other about rick smith and Brian Gaine and O’Brien the GM....but I believe Caserio is going to be the key addition to really helping shape this team and roster into true super bowl contenders year in and year out.

Why do you believe he'll be key?

McDaniels is an awful head coach. He should stay an OC.

Crazy thing is...you can make the argument that BO'B is the most successful out of the Belichick tree (at least the New England version since he had Saban and Kirk Ferentz in his time with the Browns).

Definitely and my point exactly. Do we want the Bill O'Brien equivalent at GM in the best case scenario? I don't. I'd rather swing for the fences.

Belichick himself wasn't successful the first go-around and had to go back to being Parcell's lackey.

Same goes for Pete Carroll and to some extent Kubiak.

I do think the job is a lot... and to expect any first-time head coach to have immediate/lasting success is a rarity. A lot do better their second go-around... and if failure occurs then, they become lifetime coordinators.

The Texans need a GM but should move on from Caserio and stay away from ANYONE that has a previous relationship with BoB.

Best hope would be that another power struggle happens between BoB and the new GM. I dont see BoB being able to win one of these a 3rd time.

The structure CAN work if he hires an OC or Lets Tim Kelly be the true OC and play caller.

I'd prefer just getting a real coach. The stain will always be there while he's at the helm.

You don't if ANY coach can win a Superbowl...until they do it.
